Nothing finite can be infinite (eternal). Since the universe is made of finite things (matter, time, space), it therefor must be created by something without time (timeless), thus making it eternal. If it is eternal, it must be infinite, and if its the Creator, it must be God.

Because he assumes the opposing possibilities as impossible when measured by our own scientific understanding and then gives his own theory which again is impossible by scientific understanding and proves it by saying the other one is wrong. How can you go on to say matter, time, and space have to have had a starting point but this magical 'God' property did not for reasons unexplained and impossible to understand. And then go on to say that matter, time and space can't be destroyed but are able to be created out of nothing by God.

Do you see how that logic doesn't pan out? He states matter, space and time could not have always existed or come into existence without god but does not go on to explain how God created matter, space and time out of nothing, which he says is impossible.

The simple truth is we will can not understand and will never understand because we are too severely intellectually limited to comprehend some of the realities of our universe and what may be beyond, people who try to use this simple logic to prove and explain the existence of an omnipotent, omnipresent being are fooling themselves... and possible other weak minded individuals who are confused by simple concepts if they have not yet heard them before or are unable to understand opposing views they may have heard before.
