Do you think that the causalties on the 9/11 also is ok to justify the means for those who did it? Hey they were only out to destroy the twin towers but oh, some innocent ppl were in them, oh well.
There are two point of views here and you are blindly seeing only one.
One that is ok to kill innocent people and one where it is a tragedy that ppl got killed.

I do recall a fairly shocking story on 60 minutes about some soldiers who were looking for an insurgent and basically went door to door slaughtering civilians.

I also recall a story involving coalition (UK I think?) forces dressed out of uniform shooting iraqi police.
