haha I have beaten Vulpes in the Past... although he is a sneaky speedy bastage :P
Thank god for snow days= no teaching.
-We learned a few things today. For instance CLaus wears Boxers and thinks he is a sexy beast.
-Shields will auto block, no manual.
-No hairstyle changes :(
-You CAN look around corners and see behind you in tpv.
- No playing as mobs
- New site will have updated Map

I know thats what he said but it was kinda hard to take him serious on that. He was being kinda funny with the "Go play Barbie online" coment.
Could very well be true but could also have been him laughing so hard at the question he decided not to answer it streightly. Scandinavian humor and all what it is hehehe

Yeah i hope that hairstyle change thing was a joke, not because i really care about changing hair style on my characters, but because little things like that mean a lot to some players and do add a fun aspect to the game. Look at something like Ragnarok Online which is practically all based on dumb little things like questing for special hats that look cool and stuff, and people eat it up. And don't be hating me for saying it, but female players especially tend to like things like hairstyle changes, and cool little cosmetic things like this, and we need all the female players in game we ccan get!

all good except for the seeing around corners stuff, if they can fix that then i'll be happy on all fronts, but overall its still gonna be an awesome game

Not being able to change your hair style does kind of suck, call me a carebear if you wish, but I like to be able to customize the looks of my avatar. One of the things that drove me nuts in shadowbane was that everyone looked the same due to lack of customization in avatars and their clothing
Thats pretty good informations

Thanks for posting the log Ferox.
Good questions from the gallery. Limited unground cities which are somewhat harder to siege will make things interesting. And hopefully that placing caves thing makes it into game at some point - nice!
I'm very happy to read that clan symbols can be added to sails. Fleet battles will be much less confusing. :)

Claus|Dev> actually we have monster AI that will go for the healers.. thats gonna be unpopular
Finally a team is getting it right.
Also I think they should implement a system in which third person should only be used during combat. Like NPCs won't talk to you if you're not in combat, thus not in third person. This could still make backstabbing cool.

I think 3rd person is only during combat, cuz claus said during melee u will switch to tpv. So he kinda suggests that u will only be in tpv during combat.

That is right, it is only during combat so basically it does not help you "cheat" your way by looking behind corners in tpv :)

no it basically allows you to run around in tpv :). saying "just in combat" doesnt make it better, people can go to combat mode all the time.

Hmmm... to me that standing behind a tree example is a much more realistic and interesting kind of stealth than special stealth 'skills' and such. I mean, it's just doesn't seem practicable for the game to allow you to just peek your eye out beyond the tree, with virtually zero chance of getting spotted, as would happen in real life.

There's a big difference between "virtually no chance" and no chance at all. Traditional TPV gives the caravan absolutely no chance at all. It's an ability with no counter. I'm all for having situations where people are hiding and being sneaky. But it's just no fun if you're the guy riding down the road in the caravan and suddenly 20 guys ambush you, 20 guys that you had "no chance at all" of seeing.

I'm beginning to miss a new update. This leads to wondering what the new update will bring, which in the end leads to total insanety. We live in such a cruel world sometimes :P
