Come on Democrats....just give up all pretense of fair play.

Yeah, the female already hates Palin and Obama makes her panties wet like those chicks on "The View", oh yeah....I REALLY expect a fair debate tomorrow night.

The VP "Moderator" is releasing a book during the next Presidential oath of office called ...Age of Obama (http://www.amazon.com/Breakthrough-Politics-Race-Age-Obama/dp/038552501X).

Here is a nice article and for the TR;DR morons, here is a couple of exerts.

But she also was cited in complaints PBS Ombudsman Michael Getler said he received after Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin delivered her nomination acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minn., earlier this month.

Some viewers complained of a "dismissive" look by Ifill during her report on Palin's speech. According to Getler, some also said she wore a look of "disgust" while reporting on the Republican candidate.

and more importantly

Ifill's profile there describes her as a longtime correspondent and moderator for national news programs and includes her service as moderator of the 2004 debate between Edwards and Cheney.

However, there's no mention of her upcoming book. Nor does the website for the Commission on Presidential Debates, which is organizing the meetings of the candidates, mention her book. (http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=76645)

Those have been extinct since Kronkite.

There is no such thing as a neutral moderator, unless they threw Ron Paul out there, who hates them both. Anyway, Gwen Ifill is about as professional as it gets, and I totally expect her to do her job, and be as objective as possible.

did it escape your spin zone that BOTH campaigns have to AGREE on the moderators?

so if the McCain campaign is ok with it...and signed off on it...what's the problem here?

Mostly that McCain is a white Obama with actual experience.

Palin is the only redeeming person out of all 4 of them.

and Palin is so together that one of her basic beliefs is that the Flintstones was a documentary

Of course they signed off, they want the moderator to appear to be antiPalin, so they can continue to run against the media. They get bonus points if Biden looks like a sexist during the debate.

lol...using Faux news for a source disqualifies many things

and say what you will, but denying physics when you want to be the person with your finger on the "button" doesn't seem to be quite sane, imo

even ID proponents don't go for the "earth is 6000 years old" bit..it isn't about

He doesn't exactly have any love for Republicans either.

LOL after all the left wing indoctrinations any news org that actually DOES report fact of course look like right wing zealots.

Totally ignore the fact that ratings indicate that people are relieved to have a channel that reports fairly now.

Personally I wish O'Reilly was a little more conservative, but oh well.

She’s so far in the tank for the Democratic presidential candidate, her oxygen delivery line is running out.

During the Democratic National Convention, Ifill offered her neutral analysis on NBC News before Michelle Obama’s speech: “A lot of people have never seen anything that looks like a Michelle Obama before. She’s educated, she’s beautiful, she’s tall, she tells you what she thinks and they hope that she can tell a story about Barack Obama and about herself.”

During the Republican National Convention, the PBS ombudsman fielded numerous complaints about Ifill’s coverage of Sarah Palin’s speech. Wrote Brian Meyers of Granby, Ct.: “I was appalled by Gwen Ifill’s commentary directly following Gov. Sarah Palin’s speech. Her attitude was dismissive and the look on her face was one of disgust. Clearly, she was agitated by what most critics view as a well-delivered speech. It is quite obvious that Ms. Ifill supports Obama as she struggled to say anything redemptive about Gov. Palin’s performance. I am disappointed in Ms. Ifill’s complete disregard for journalistic objectivity.”

Like Obama, Ifill, who is black, is quick to play the race card at the first sign of criticism. In an interview with the Washington Post a few weeks ago, she carped: “[N]o one’s ever assumed a white reporter can’t cover a white candidate.”

TO be honest I only skimmed.

But it bugs me that people are already jumping to conclusions. I am left leaning, but if I were to be a moderator, I know I'd try to be as impartial as I could. How does anybody know that the VP debate moderator won't do the same. The only way to know is to wait and see. It's useless discussing it now.

From politico.com

Tomorrow's debate diversion today

Drudge is driving the conservative and Fox conversation with the news (or "news") that tomorrow's veep debate moderator, Gwen Ifill, is writing a book on Obama and other post-civil rights black politicians.

Calderone notes that it's not exactly a revelation.

So why is it coming out now?

In the short run, meaning for the next day and a half, it's chum over the side of the boat to divert attention away from the expectations being put on Palin. Beyond that, it helps set a frame should Republicans need to explain away a poor Palin performance.
