Not really a question just a thought....

If I or anyone gets into beta will they have to buy the CDs or download the game when it goes live... Or can I just keep the beta version and maybe download some patch or something and then start to Pay to Play...

Dont really need answers cause probably no one knows but your thoughts????

You're asking if it's going to be pay to play (like eve online where the account is what we pay for but the client is free) or going money wore like wow and a few others?
Hoping for the first, mainly as it's easier and cheaper for me. But as far as I know there has been stated that it's digital distribution, hence downloaded. Wouldnt be suprised if it was in a box in the beggining.

In most of games with a beta, the beta client were usable at launch, a patch were all that were needed.

I hope you have to buy the game and pay for a month upfront. I want the WoW kids mommys to have to pay atleast 50 bucks + 10 for the first month before they quit the first day. Devs make more money this way and the game lives on!

I think the devs have stated somewhere that they'll do their best to have a digital download available for distibution.

Also if you were to get into beta you will probably be able to just update that client to the release version as it is common to do so in the industry although expect them to have you enter a retail key in order to play on release day and don't expect the client to come for free.

You should be able to patch the beta client to release.

But you will need to buy the CD Key to play.

You usually pay for the CD key.

Also to in MMORPG's you generally don't pay for the client, you pay for your account.

Same goes for EVE, you can DL the client and play for free for 14days, but after that you have to upgrade your account to a full one using a serial key that you've bought for a nominal fee.

Makes sense if we still have to pay monthly anyway, why would they make us get the whole client over again? Like Jacky says, its the account that you pay for, the client isnt as important.

Even if the beta version is the same (or patchable) as the release version you are going to need a CD key. Gotta pay to play.

I think beta players will not get any bonuses of financial way.
Everyone should pay the same for playing on retail servers.
Beta players already have the privilege of playing the game before others who don't make it into beta.

Whats the difference? If you buy the game then you just have to reinstall over the beta version. Its 5 minutes out of your life.

I doubt the beta version will be the exact same as the release version. Even if nothing else is different, the version number will not be the same. I doubt they will have a patch to upgrade beta to release since they are already providing you with the game when you buy it.

I hope that after beta will not exist monthly payment but only a cd key payment...I have not a work to pay a game like a lot of guys that wanna play this kind of games..and i dont think that parents are happy to pay every month :(
