Has anyone noticed every other ad on TV claims that the advertised product "changes everything", or some variant thereof ("everything is different", etc)? I'm watching football and no less than 2 different cars, kentucky fried chicken, and the iphone are claiming to change "everything". The first time I noticed this was a year or two ago when there was a Hidden Valley Ranch ad that claimed to "change everything" - it was fucking awesome ranch dressing in that ad.

Just keep your eye on the ads when watching TV, there are so many life altering products out there it's amazing we don't go explode.

Yes but luckily one changes everything, then the other one negates it by changing everything back again. So you needn't worry

Obama is clearly the only thing that could ever bring change.

Aye, it's like in films. An article I read showed me how EVERY film is based on a character totally changing some aspect of themself (think about any film and you'll see it). In fact our culture has become obsessed with technologies of the self, our ability to easily reinvent ourselves, to become as it were, new people. People are actually remarkably resilliant to change.

Yup. Most people never change at their core, after a certain age.

I remember a car commercial that said something in the lines of "It won't change your life completely, but you'll have a pwnage car."

It's working for Obama, so why not?

"Do you like change? Because that's all you're gonna have left after Obama is through with you! $$:D$$"
