Even though Toonami had become a piece of crap in the last few years I think this still deserves to be mentioned since it introduced a lot of us to our favorite animes like cowboy bebop, gundam wing, dragon ball z etc. today Cartoon network canceled Toonami.

Old school toonami was badass. A long time ago, I used to watch Samurai Jack and Megas XLR on it. Was fun whilst it lasted. Sad to hear its been cancelled, but its been a long while since I last really sat down to watch TV.

Ya back then they didn't censor t.v as much, I think that's part of the reason they canceled it was because they couldn't get any of the good shows anymore because they would have to censor half the episodes.

Toonami sounds awesome I never watched the channel I don't know whether if that was because I live in Canada and not the United States or that my cable providers never had the channel but I wish I had a channel that showed so much awesome shows. I had to watch a bunch of different channels, rent, and wait some years before I could watch anything decent I can also watch all those cool shows on youtube now but it isn't the same as television where you can just sit down on a comfy couch and let the shows play for you without any hassle.

Then AS came along and the good anime was locked away to suffer at the hands of retarded eight-year olds wanting to become ninjas. (IDK what you say about DBZ, Goku was at least man enough for growing kids.)

But from what I heard, they are really putting anime to the chopping block on CN, with Code Geass moved to a 5 AM "death slot" as well as other shows. I guess this was inevitable seeing as how most US companies are facing rather tough times (ADV screws up a deal involving TTGL, US Geneon dies, etc.) and that anime is more or less a passing fad to most Americans as opposed to 2000-04 where licenses were being made in the dozens and the people were somewhat interested. I personally don't mind so much since a lot of the stupidity that comes with it will evaporate.

But yes, good times. Good times.
