Ok there wasnt room for this in the other thread so now im doing this

+1 or -1 each playstyle(at the end im gonna combine the winning playstyle and race)

look...if you vote to + something it raises its number
if you vote - it lowers its number
the playstyle with the highest number wins

Your system asks a player if you hate a type of playstyle more then you like any of them then pick -1. Which most people are going to like a playstyle more then anything else. Either just have the race name and say which do you like most or have every race with a choice of will you try it? yes or no.

Also you Missed the Option of Crafter/Warrior/Archer/Mage combination which I will be playing. More so on the last three. I can see all being viable for different types of combat strategies.

I once played some roleplaying with a friend and some friends of his I hadn't played with before, I wen't on and became a 2 handed axe wearing magic arrow throwing skinny little mofo..

This game will have so many oppertunities, lets hope there are no best choise.

There will be times I wish I can melee.
There will be times I wish I can shoot arrows/bolts.
There will be times I wish I can cast a spell (assault/defensive/healing). Especially in a group.
There will be times I wish I can craft armour/weapons/other stuff. Either for myself or to make money or to help a friend.

should've just not made a poll at all, and told users to post their answers.

the standard way of doing this type of thing is to give a poster 2 "points" that can be used to + or -. they can +1 one thing and -1 another, +2 something, -2 something, -1 something and -1 something else, etc etc etc

the linear format of the poll fails to adequately present the type of data you are trying to collect.

There should be a thread with all the +1s named which playstyle do you like the best and a SEPERATE thread with all the -1s named which playstyle do you like the least.

with the final count tallied at the end

that way each person can do one +1 and one -1.

..... With negative it leaves you no chance to vote for what you like. It needs two votes if you wan't it this way. one for what you hate 1 for what you like. Otherwise this is pointless and you need to take out the negatives.
