I have my own view on Christian religion, it differs from bible to some extent. In addition, I won't run around preaching for it, or do stuff because I belive in existance of God. No, I just belive theres a higher power behind the birth of planet earth, and whoever created it (God) hasn't cared about it since the appearance of human race. (Thus Adam & Eve is a literal message stating the same fact.)
Perhaps god happens to be tricksy sometimes.
And if he answers to your prayers, it won't be through miracles.

I do not believe in a God, personal nor impersonal. Nor do I believe in any sort of supernatural business, reincarnation, anything spiritual; "superstitions" and such.

You're not describing the Christian religion, though. Christianity believes the son of God came to earth, which you probably don't believe if I read your post correctly.

So you're not Christian.

Believing there's a God (whatever form of creator that might be) doesn't make you religious and even less so Christian.

I'm not. I just dislike people spouting cliched shit, every time you get one of these threads you will get someone who thinks they are some fucking well of infinite wisdom regurgitating this one liner.

Infact i may even be so bold as to extend this to any quote used in an argument or discussion unless it is for comedic effect. Repeating what someone else has said is not clever, unless it's code for "i'm well read" in which case i would find it even more obnoxious.

edit- It just occurred to me it i could have been trolled into next week, but fuck it my statement still stands.

Also 4 posts up, is my sig displaying for everyone else?

I think he was facepalming at the fact he said 'opium' which is a mis-quote,

Anyway the bible cannot damage anybody's mind. It's just a collection of books, nothing more than words. How can this possibly damage somebody's mind?

No, a book is an inanimate object, there is nothing inherently damaging about it. So therefore there must be another factor which is missing. That is if we are to assume that anybody's mind has actually been damaged at all

It's not a rock or piece of wood. Books have these things called words in them, which form a system called language, you might be familiar with it...as a matter of fact, were using this language stuff right now! Amazing!, I know!!! You take it for granted but were alwayz uzing it! Neato! Anyway...Books express another thing called ideas, which affect people mentally...you can use language, now that you know what it is and how it works, to find out what that means. Good luck!

Ah so that's how it works. I am assuming then that you will also be familiar with interpretation. A book is just like a rock or a piece of wood. except people have transmitted ideas and conveyed messages to other people. How is it that you were able to read these stories and yet your mind remains so pristine?

Hitler was Jesus reincarnated, imo. If you compare photos of Hitler to medieval paintings, you can see the similarity.
