In your own opinion, which orchestral/instrumental song is simply the most awesome? I would have to go with Requiem for a Dream (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e2Ma4BvMUwU&feature=related), which is actually a re-vamp of Lux Aeterna (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hKLpJtvzlEI).

Poll unrelated.

Probably the egg. If you mean any egg it's obvious because dinosaurs laid eggs. If you mean the egg of the chicken which this question is about it's not given since species are borders made up by humans. If you draw a distinct line between the pre-hen and the chicken it would depend on wether the new species emerged as a result of mutatation in either the gametes of the pre-hen or pre-cock or in the zygot or if it was a result of an uncommon mixture of alleles.

Wagner's The Ride of the Valkyries (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1aKAH_t0aXA)

and if you want to stay purely instramental then

Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nkS9THHjp38) I just linked the part of it that most people are familuar with. But I enjoy the entire performance.

The egg and the chicken existed at the same time. The chicken is inside the egg.
