I'm seriously thinking about a strategy that won't save my life, but is sure to piss off those wanting to kill me for my stuff. When it's pretty obvious that I'll lose the fight, I'll quickly take off and trash all my armor and weapons. I wonder how that'll go down...

I think it's because most MMOs use level systems that tend to make fights that are somehow unfair.

just a quick FYI . . . i read that there will be a timer between item deletions, I'm not sure what the other criteria will be or if interruption applies, etc . . . but it was intended to prevent one from dumping all good gear, so you might get one trashed, but deff not your whole set. I'm not looking up the quote, it's too late for that, but maybe tomarry if I'm motivated . . .

Ganking as in veteran player 1-2 shoting a new one won't happen much in Darkfall where 1 year more gaming =/= Sword of l33tnes, Pwnzor Shield of the Squealy Battleground Leader Guy and a spell of Pwn Thee. No auto target, no floating names, no fireballs chasing the target behind corners, no drastic gear difference. Hell, due the lack of level tags you don't even know what you're facing, might be a GM fire magician in newb gear.

Armour comes from crafters, right? Just get some crafter friends or join a guild and you'll be fine.

I think that it would be fun but I think you'd want to be in an outlaw guild otherwise you'd be isolated. Not the path I'd choose with a main, but maybe with an alt on a different server. Like an RP server. So I can RP ripping out hearts. Awesome?
