ive been trying to set up xbox live through a router but it hasnt been working i have comcast a touchstone telephony modem and a d link di 604 router please help if u can i need something to bide me by while i wait for darkfall:bang::bang::bang::bang::bang::b ang::bang::bang::bang::bang:

im connected through a modem strait to my computer im trying to cennect through my router but for some reson i cant

I was having the same problem, i was using a linksys router and for whatever reason i couldnt get it working... i switched to a netgear router and it works like a dream
I think you should check your fridge, it might have something to do with that.

Is the cable correctly connected to it? Don't want to put your Ethernet cable in your USB slot. (anyone remember the guy who did the reverse thing?)

yeah my iternet works fine when i connect it to my modem its just when i try to hook it up to the router it goes bad im pretty sure if i can hook it up to the router it will work

Yeah, he put his USB stick in the Ethernet slot, then asked for what to do. He even provided pictures later in the thread.

Have you ever plugged the router in before?
If not, you need to call Comcast and register the router or else it won't work.
