This is the first picture I've ever rendered on photoshop, just experimenting :)
Based loosely on what I would like my Darkfall charcter to look like. Done on 'G.I.M.P 2'

Mirdain traditionally have high cheek bones and thin, long faces, but this has a certain uniqueness about it that seems to fit it nicely.

Like it except the round "fat face" not very Mirdainish

Haircolor: -> color them black :D
then he would look like a EMO
nice pic :D
It looks like a fat emo kid with pointie ears and ninja envy but the artwork itself is nice, well done.

Took into consideration some of the comments:-
*Saturated the colours more and added stronger contrast.
*Elongated him.
*Changed the background.
*Took out some of the shading around the mouth (was guessing that was what made him look fat)

I think you over stretched him a bit (body wise), although the face looks better now..
The first pic the tattoo didn't do it for me (and the "fat" face). It almost looked like he was crying becuase he had to kill something... :)
Background looks a lot better now as well tbh.
Can you just stretch the face and leave the body like it was in the first pic?
It could be me, but it looks like the torso is a bit unbalanced now...
But it's a nice piece of art, way better then anything I can do. I'd probably end up with either a dodgy stick figure or a big colourless blob in the end o_O

I wasn't sure how to render them at first, ye just gotta give it a go :]. just remember to make it all in layers and it makes things much easier and just take your time on it.
I used http://www.gimp.org/ for this picture (the name sounds worse then it is xD)

Looks good, you could you even add a backgroud with a strong light source and highlight the edges of him to make him sit in the picture better. Maybe desaturate him a little aswell.
