1# Will anybody be playing this?

2# Is it an expansion? Or a new game?

3# Is AC on Xbox Live worth it?

*edit*

Here is another video with the customization aspect of the game.

I made a fake japanese xbox live account and downloaded the demo. Its exactly the same as AC4 exept the mech is now harder to control. Theres no side hover, you actualy have to turn.

Wow... So it is worse?

In the demo i couldent see a difference worth buying it if you already have AC4. AC4 on Xbox live was fun, but it had the same problem as all mech games where you can build a mech from the ground up do(coughchromehoundscough). an ultimate design comes out and noone uses anything but that.

It certainly looks like it will be fun.

Last Armored Core I played was the first one on PSX. That game rocked harder than a rockslide. I take it the sequels weren't as awesome?

Yah... I know that problem well. It is all a part balance issue.

And ya. Alot of people thought the sequels were subpar compared to the original PSX versions. I am still deciding on it.

Microsoft needs to get off their asses and make Mechwarrior 5. Or at least a Mechassault 3.

I want my Mad Cat... or an Elemental if they would put one in, outside of the mektek patches that is....

Yah, I used to play in the old battletech centers at this one place in SF (with cockpit booths and everything!) and I loved jumping in my mechs as a Timberwolf and ripping people apart. I miss the good 'ol battletech games.

I've been aching for a good customed mech game that I can play online... Hope this new game answers my calling.

I just watched some videos of this game and it seems that they accelerated all the things that made it awesome and removed all the things that made it slower (such as allowing all shoulder cannons to be fired while moving)!

I am personally looking forward to buying a 360 and getting this game with it. Will keep me busy until DF. And will definetly improve my twitch combat skills!

I love super fast action like this. Makes it feel like one of those Gundam episodes with the ridiculously fast mechs. Freaking awesome!

If I had one of the consoles for it, I'd play it.

The non-numbered AC games are expansions of sorts. They mostly use the engine of the previous numbered AC game, and many of them allow you to carry over save data from previous games, but they function standalone if necessary.

Also, does AC4A suddenly require you to aim, where previous games, though combat required skill, had lockon? If not, how is there twitch in it?

I'm definitely going to be picking it up on the PS3, have been a big fan since I first played AC2 on the PS2.

Still the same lock-on method, as always. As far as having twitch, imo the word shouldn't be applied to any console game.

can you imagine how fucking awesome a mechwarrior game would be now if they made it with brand new graphics and didn't change the gameplay at all? I think I only played mech warrior a bit but it looked pretty cool and I generally like the idea of mechs in games.

I don't remember the name, but someone's making a full blown Mechwarrior mod using Crysis.

Also, Clan Wolf for life.

I loved armored core 4, just like I did every previous one. However, I got it half a year later after release with my PS3 and the online servers had come down. No updates, no online play.

I'm going to get this one so I can experience that, oh and VG overboosts, co op and killing arms fortresses.

I remember AC2 on ps2.

Used to call the shoulder cannons Akhmed and the Karasawa MkII Jesus.

Was fun, a bit easy sp but fun mp.

I am really excited to save up money to buy the game. Will probably do it within the next month or so. Maybe I should wait for the new 360 first though...

Karasawa MKII is in AC2: AA, not AC2. I know because I'm using it right now.
