View Full Version : What movie has the most heart-warming ending?

due to the movie ending popularity, i've decided to make a thread. what movie do you feel has an ending that makes you feel all carebear inside.

also, don't deny you've never seen one of those. at one point you did because you either seen one because your "into that stuff", trying to get into a girls pants or for those who can't spending quality time with your mom.

mines the darjeeling limited, awesome movie and awesome ending with an even greater cast.

I'm pretty sure he already did that. I suspect that account is an alt, since he seems to know what forumfall is as well as being aware of some of the people on here.

Also, any movie that had all the protagonists die (or better yet, one where they live happily ever after - by screwing over the rest of humanity).

"PS I Love You" was pretty heartwarming...

I think my most emotional (sad) movie ending however was Bridge to Teribithia. I didn't read the book and I totally didn't see that ending coming. I cried but it's okay cause no one saw and immediately after I got on Forumfall and called someone else a faggot for having feelings.

Schindler's List:

By the end of the movie that man was the most unselfish and kindhearted example of a human being I have ever seen. I wish I could have met Oscar Schindler.

After learning of him I never used another person to describe ultimate good. Ghandi(Racist) and Mother Teresa(Sadist/Profiteer) have long since lost their place on their pedestals. (If you don't believe me look it up!)

These days you're lucky to find someone not in a uniform(Police, Soldiers, Firefighters, etc.) that risk not only their life but their freedom to save another human being.

I Am Sam:

I couldn't decide whether Sam could take care of his daughter or not, but it broke my heart to see what he went through without her, and she without him. The soundtrack played a huge role in the whole mood of the movie for me. It was all very nostalgic and familiar.

Emotional speech......Hmm I don't recall that. I could have sworn the movie ended with Sly frothing at the mouth and mumbling about how nothings over.

Anyway, I liked the end of Clockworth Orange; it's is quite heartwarming.

Holy shit Team Buddies was awesome!

But bloody hard. You pretty much have to play solo for about 90% of the later levels, all the while being zerg rushed by people with advanced weaponry and you're left with the level 1 one.

Someone said Schindler's list already...

The first LOTR is the only one of the 3 films with a feel-good ending IMO. The second is foreboding, and the third is pretty melancholy.

The ending to the Day Watch/Night watch trilogy is good too, the main character gets to reverse the mistake that fucked up his life (and the world at the same time).

Amelie has a pretty heart warming end, and is generally heart-warming throughout.

And for Ghibli fans, though their more well-known films all have sad/melancholy endings, "Mimi wo Sumaseba" or "If you Listen Closely" is a classic feel-good film. :)

Also, honourable mention to the first 3 Star Wars films. They all had pretty uplifting endings, even Empire Strikes Back.
