Not exactly but it's aftermath hit my neck of the woods with a vengeance having winds of up to 78MPH in some areas.

Power is out for over 800,000 utility customers, with some going without it for at least a week in estimates.

The company I work for shut down at least 7 locations that I know of, including the one I work at. I work for Kroger, the largest grocery retailer in the US. I'm sure all perishable items at these locations is a total loss.

On the way home from work last night, I saw no power on for at least 13 miles of my 15 mile trip. Only traffic light that I saw working was the one right after I get off the highway exit near home.

How my immediate neighborhood escaped all this is a mystery to me, when everyone around us is without power.

You know I was thinking that but I was fearful of a lightning bolt up the ass if I said it. :D

Edit: Was just watching the news, my favorite sports bar pretty much burned to the ground during the night. Place had been there for well over 25 years.

Goddammit.

R.I.P. The original Fricker's

They didn't notice because they were inside playing WoW, not noticing anything happening until Ike smashed their internet con with a stick and a lawnmower, before moving onto their pr0n collection, consisting of several naked donkeys and a huge apple. FACT.

Came past my place on Saturday, 6 1/2 inches of rain that day.
