Will that be possible? I was wondering if i could put a small axe in a hand and a sword in the other.. i thought it would be cool, but i really dont know if that will be possible, if anyone knows something about it, please tell me. Still those who dont know, give your opinion. Would you like it ?
Ps: I hope all of you could understand me, im still practicing my english.

I think it will be completely possible. What would probably happen being you have two different 1h weapon skills you are using....the skills for both would go up but half the speed as if you were using 2 of the same weapons.

I wouldn't have a problem with it, would be the same as dual wield except with different weapons. I bet if this is in, they both will swing in the same animation since even different 2 hand weapons seem to have the same animations.

My guess is more that since manual blocking was in last we heard, if you forgo a shield and have a second weapon your block key/mouse button will control that offhand weapon. Different weapons should most definitely be possible though.

Thats exactly what i would think also. Does anyone else know if this is true or not?

I sure as hell hope so
Flail and Axe ftw
and i do like the idea of both skills going up at a slowed rate.

obviously, why would they restrict you, that would be pretty dumb

I'm not saying they have, and it's a couple of days since I watched the vid, but I don't remember seeing anyone DW...
DW wand and weapon would be breaking one of the balance mechanisms they've put in for combat/magic hybrids: you have to disarm yourself to cast.
The reason they might restrict you is that you'd have more options with an off-hand weapon than with a shield, and coding the switch might be "too hard" or make the interface "too horrible". In the end, ambi weapon fighting tends to boil down to using the offhand to parry anyway...
Can't find a reason why they wouldn't have implented this.

Aslong as you can not dual wield a weapon and focus... e.g. Sword and Wand I'm fine with it.

All the people in the video seem to not carry anything off-hand when casting spells.

Flail and Axe ftw
Umm, I doubt flexible weapons will make it. - Those are a real pain to animate, so no flails and whip weapons is my guess.
Likely there might be combination weapons such as halberds (axe and spear combined), Bec de Corbin (hammer with a curved spike on the other side), etc.

I think we shouldn't count on being able to wield two different weapons with dual wield. Just a guess though.

On a game that offers total freedom, it would be strange to be restricted in carrying 2 different 1 handed weapons......

Id like to note that if the skill system is anything like UO, you would need a different skill for each weapon type (Mace Fighting for Maces, Fencing for Daggers/stabbing weapons, Swordsmanship for Sword/Slashing Weapons, etc) Using 2 different weapons in this skill system would be a waste of a skill and be a terrible idea to say the least. That is of course if they implement seperate weapon skills.
Your english is excellent by the way, better than some people i know, and thats the only language they speak =/

Could be developer limits.
I'd love to see 2 different weapon fighting.
But then again I wonder how it would attribute to the game.
