Was just wondering what the movement mechanics are going to be like. will WASD movement (on foot, water, ect.) include inertia? EG: you switch directions and inertia sends you a couple of steps further into the direction you were traveling.
The main reason I ask this is because I as many of you I'm sure have played some clunky playing skill based / fps games that just move funny and seem to not respond well. an example of which is Armed assault (fps tactical shooter) the chunkiness kills that game. I'm hoping for some smooth movement mechanics from this game.

There is inertia in the older pvp video Tasos describes an ork charging at a "rogue" style player, who side steps and hits the ork as his inertia carries him past her. So yes if you are running and let go of the key you will still take a few steps in the same direction before stoping.

Or so it seems. You did mention is was an Older PvP video.
If there was no inertia on Ships, Mounts, siege engines and such then that would be as broken as having a thirty foot dragon pet named Willy doing all your fighting for you.
While on foot though, Inertia not being there would be fine, but I think it should be still, if very very very minor. :D
Like if your going down hill and tried to stop just before getting to the cliff edge you didn't see just a moment ago and that PK that was chasing you didn't stop in time either and you both go over.
