OK we have physical(slash, hack crush..), elemental(fire, frost..) and magical(umm magic fire, knockback...) but will there be any kind of "spiritual" or wherever it belongs type of damage like drain life, drain soul, parasitic leech... regular vampirism stuff?

And while we are at it how much in game will be mistical, occultism and religious stuff that is not just a lore you read somewhere but has affect on game like necromancy(is it still in the game), vampiric like damage as I mentioned and transformation into one, summon wraiths, demonic powers which are not just breathing fire and shaking earth but all that religious stuff you scare little children with?

Necromancy and Witchcraft are both in the game I'm guessing they might have some cool stuff in the "mystical energies" department

Could be even some Alfar racial-specific skill -- draining the enemy with physical attacks -- but that's just my wishful thinking. ;)

there are five HUNDRED spells. Say we have 10 elemental schools (that's an overestimate for elemental schools [light, dark, psyonic, earth, fire, wind, water, heart, captain planet, and.. astral]). Now say for each of those schools, there are 10 progressively stronger (some with CC) spells. That's 100 spells. There are 400 other spells.

100 is around where most current MMOs dwell around release, somewhere in that range. And, what's more, most are useless after gaining the "stronger" spell in the series. I have a feeling the devs are attempting to make as many spells useful for the long-run as possible.

I am in wait-and-see mode, and it's exciting. They've worked long and hard for this, it's going to be a treat.

The article I read about two weeks ago said they had about 300 skills and 200 spells on paper. But they aim to have about 500 of each by release.

Nope. Pets / hirelings etc. are out.

The only NPCs that might still be in are guards for a clan city. But that is still up in the air.
