What does it represent? Is it about join date, number of posts or some title given by mods? Only serious and true info, please. ;)

Mouse over a username and you'll see what number they are. Like Doma, who was apparently one of the first few hundred or me who was in the first few thousand. Now the forum is at 90k+

booo! lol I like to consider my self a "long term follower". even though I have only been following this game since June 05 or something.
Oh well.
P.S. I don't really care about titles .. Unless I get the power to ban people or get in to beta before any one else lol, it's all just words to me..

I personally believe the title is there so that people who know the supposed game mechanics like the back of their hand (long term followers) can be picked up in the community by people new to it for either questions, advice, or the ability to trust answers to posted questions.

You don't need to be a "Long time follower" to know stuff about the game.. Well unless some one asks about the old stuff maybe.
The new people just need to do a little bit of work to find out all the information they need. They just tend to be to lazy to do so.
Edit: lol look at this post... You would think the person with the Long term follower title would know this simple question:

Actually, the people who are 55,000+ joined after the videos. Also, what is up with people saying "I personally believe", "Personally, I think", or "I think". Of course you personally believe, or think what you just said. After all, you just said it! Why be redundant? Is it really that important that other people recognize that you "personally believe" or "think" about the things you have said?

Lame, I'm like June '04.
Never knew about the mouseover thing. I wish all the posts made would say in your CP though. For awhile I thought they just redid all the accounts or something.

either it is or you are using Firefox 2.x, not 3.x.

That is to emphasize, that the stuff, they just wrote is either not from a sure source or could be outdated.

Well that's nullshitty reasoning. Many people from '01 or '02 check in once a year or so and aren't very up to date. Hell, even most '04s etc. often spout outdated or assumed facts. If Long Term Follower is a way to try bring back the penis boost in having an early join date, why not bring join dates back all together?

My first forum name UID is in the 3k. This one probably missed getting that title by a few months. =D
It's meaningless.
They are the type of people who know plenty about the game, but unlucky for you they are so jaded and disgruntled they aren't going to be sharing their knowledge with noobs.
If you have questions, PM me. I know literally everything there is to know about Darkfall that a non-Dev would know, and I don't bite.

it's 6000 and below to be exact..
I like mine. I don't know everything about Darkfall, but I see no reason why I should, since it's not out yet, known info isn't that much and alot of info is just speculations. I'll find out once im actually ingame.

based on that and what has been said here before, all pre-release users should get LTF... It's just a cool feature of old accounts, nothing more.

Yeah you can only rehash the same information a few hundred times before you really start to wonder why you check the forums anymore.
At this point once a month is fine for me, and I don't even care to stay up to date on every little detail. When it comes, i'll catch myself up. Until then, I spend my time actually playing games (you know, ones that actually exist right now) and living life.

I still check it daily. For the OT and the news.

So if you are only here once a month why do you feel the need to bump a worthless 2 day old thread?

Because I was replying to someone?
So me coming back to post again 28 days early bothered you? So sorry.
When I say once a month, its my estimate of how often I normally check in here. Sometimes it's a few weeks, sometimes its a few months. This particular time it was two days.
Do you really care or was this just some attempt at trolling?
