Whether I can put on a shield the right hand, and a sword to take in left?

Hm, even if you are left handed, your character will most likely not be. If you've used a computer before you should be used to using it the right way round?

So far, all I have seen have been right handed models. Do you have to declare what hand your character prefers at creation or can you wield your weapon in your right or left hand equally?

We support only right handed characters. An option of left handed characters would mean making new sets of animations and we're a small independent developer with limited resources ;)

This is from 2006 and I belive it still stands.

No, right handed models only. Too much hassle to create left handed animations

I miss the good old days when if your were left handed then you must be devil spawn.

Explained why my brother is so sadistic.

What does this mean for me? I can write equally with both hands. Though for some reason my sig in my left hand doesnt look similar to my right handed one. I dont mean the angle, I mean its like two different people signed.

I always wondered about this. Am I really two people?

It would be for example convenient during horse battle to change a shield and a sword in places.

the "main hand" on a bow is the one that holds the string, since usually that's the arm with the most strength.

don't worry i know how to shoot one but in the vid everyone with a bow is drawing left handed (bow in right hand string in left) which is what i was talking about watch it again its bass ackwards man

Just dual wield.

Just dual wield.

judging by screen shots you probably cant dual wield anything larger than a shortsword and it still doesn't fix the left handed bow issue :p

Youngdirty is right on that. I have a left-handed bow and I hold it with my right hand, draw with my left.

I guess they didn't really think about it and just did what would make sense to anyone who hasn't done archery before =)

the game probably has it so that if you have one weap its held in your right hand, hence the bow being held in the right.

You are not able to switch the main and off hands.

Most games won't allow you to switch, I don't see why it's a problem. It's there more for looks than any thing else, And also more work to get the animations and such to animate for the other side.

I'm not 100% sure about this but I believe you can attack on both sides of the mount with one-hand

Controls:
Mouse+ W,A,D - Weapon attack when mount is in motion

I think A and D would be both left and right sides of the mount.

Does it really matter. I've seen many threads with this and I don't think it's that important.

I'm sure it matters to left-handed people. to me its just the archery looks backwards imagine if everything but the archery looked backwards... :ohno:

Like what they had for counter strike? haha, funny, I am southpaw but I find it weird to play games where things work left handed. So that would actually be kinda weird for me.

no way, hes just strangs, im southpaw but it doesnt make a bit of a difference, If you get used to it how it is, you never notice in the first place, like i hit like a right hander playing baseball, and i never had issues while driving stick shift or using computer mouse, hes probly just not used to it. Its really no dif than getting used to "verted" or "inverted" controls.

For the pedestrian soldiers it is indifferent, in what hand a sword, and in what hand a board. But it is important for horsemen.

When you for the speed skip towards to the opponent, you try to turn to the left to strike the right hand with a sword. But not always there is a possibility to turn more to the left, and it is more convenient to throw a sword in the left hand and to strike the one who on the left side of your horse.

You've never tried changing hands in a combat, have you? How do you flip a shield and sword without dropping either, stood on your own feet with someone beaning you in the face with a mace? Now try it on a horse at a gallop.
