I heard this will occur in Darkfall like the good old days of Ultima Online, I was just curious if it would be a case of dropping every item when you get PKed or die or just some items

Full looting means everything.

When you die you lose ALL your items.

Full loot applies but the items are not dropped anywhere. Once you die, your corpse can be looted by dragging the items to your inventory like in UO. But yeah, all your items ;)

I can't wait to play this game, I love all the features!

Finally a recent MMO where death means something!

This is not an advanced question.

And you drop everything.

You might not drop your pants, and by pants I mean underwear. In UO at least you got to keep your pants, or rag.

You get every single item on them when they die.

QFT! I used to played UO back in the days, dying was a biatch. Then I moved on to Tibia which had full item drop on death (just a 15% drop chance on equipment, otherwise everything). But they also had a 10% experience and skill loss which really really hurt. Not to mention full pvp. Dying in that game really made you angry and your pulse went up through the roof when chased by someone.

It's a shame that they've updated it into carebear-oblivion.

Dying in WoW (and many other games) is just a: "Sigh, not again.. *corpse run*"

what i don't understand is the peoples need to create new posts and/or threads when they don't even know what are they talking about. you, my friend, shold go back to the basics. read at least something about the game before you make useless threads. please. it for your own good. trust me. it will come in handy one day, maybe in RL too...

WOOT! Tibia, now that was hardcore (pre-being care beared). The community was so bloodthirsty that ganking and griefing were not even issues.

It was like this strange balancing soap opera of feuds.

You want to kill X but can't because group Y will kill you, and Y wants to kill you anyways but can't because N will kill them, of course you and N may actually want to kill each other but that's besides the point. And this is the sort of information everyone knows because word got around. Sorta like a medival cold war involving 500 countries. (This is the type of balance I'd love to see also function in Darkfall on both a personal and clan scale)

When you did get attacked though it was intense because you could lose literally hours and hours, like 24-48 hours or more, of play time (not just how long you played during that time) in exp and skills. FCHHHH

READ THE FAQ OR POST IN NEWBIE FORUMS

I hate people who think they are too good to post in the newb forum and then ask a stupid question

Yes, once you die you can loose everything.

BUt what are the chances that they strip you clean. THere are limits on how much you can carry, plus gear here is not like in other MMORPG's. It wont have that much of a factor (it will have some) in your stats. THe devs have stated that 3 newbs in starting gear can take down a vet in good gear.

I think some people are over reacting on how much a factor full loot is going to be in the game. Yes it is a penalty for dieing. BUt I dont think it will be something that it causes so much grief in getting gear back to go exact some revenge.

Plus.... :bang: go read the FAQ

We will loose everything when we die. Except underwear I hope, and we have to go back to our corpse to retrieve the items. Unless of course the pl,ayer who killed me took it all >.<

yah i remember many corpse runs in eq ><. my question is now is if there will be the ability to drop items that others might pick up when you die. i remember in L2 everytime you died you had a chance of dropping a piece of armor/weapon on the ground and anyone that wandered by could pick it up. this question might have already been answered else where, if so im sorry for repeating.

When you die, everything can be looted off your corpse by anybody.

Makes you really think twice if you wanna start fighting with somebody :) No more random killing like in Age of Conan
