i don't know, broken tile can be pretty sharp. it would be a pretty foolish move of carpet to unleash tiles true carpet cutting abilities.

Carpet blows. It absorbs spills and stinks like shit afterward unless you either clean the fuck out of a tiny spot on the carpet or get one of those Sham-Wow towels. To clean a tile, you need a paper towel, and maybe some kind of spray. So much easier...

Confirmed. Although tile is good for bathrooms. Wall-to-wall carpeting is an evil last resort to be turned to only in times of utterly ruined flooring that needs concealment.
