If Khael is going to take up the Monarchy of Blood in this game....
Blood has been around a couple of years ago. I would not expect them to be very much of a threat to anyone though, with no XP chains to whore their "levels" up with on DF. Besides, for the most part, most of Blood members were easy kills....lol
I cant say I am familiar with your name, however i used to run with Og, Lava, and Towel for some time. Any of those names ringing a bell?
Yes. Lava was the one who roleplayed the whole shadow thing, was he not? He was a cool guy. I knew Towel well, and fought him plenty of times. Og...are you speaking about the original Og....or the monarchy that came up later? I'm sorry, but I know a LOT about how Og ran/is run....and take away their cheat programs they run....well, let's just say they were never anything to anyone until DT had died, and they had cracked the source codes for everything ingame.

Yea lava was the Shadow role player. It was amazing because I was almost certain the Panubrus Shadows attacked people attacking us on purpose :)

Yea, Lava was one of the few guys who roleplayed on a FFA PvP server that no one minded. I met him once ingame, when we both were raiding Uziz at the same time. Unfortunately for him, he was wearing a robe, and I had a hollow katar....lol.
The original Og was definitely a unique one. He would raid Sawato naked using only his no drop weapons, which I think the time I saw him doing it was with a Hamud's katar. I remember the first few months of DT though, he was FEARED by many people.
As far as who I was, I founded TKC (Thrill Kill Cult), which we later renamed to our older clan name of Select Few, but instead of SF...everyone called us TSF. I stayed close to Uziz, as I never liked being to far away from that place for some reason. But I would go to AB sometimes with PMS Rage to raid it, and a few other hot spots for good PK action.

I knew Faveo since dang near release. Was always funny later on, when hje would @tell me with "We're going to go to Uziz.....think we'll get to fight any PK's?"
I would just "LOL" and tell him I think some might be getting ready to head that way.
Some of the best times I had was fighting the Freeman Knights in Uziz. Except for the one UA guy (can't remember his name right off hand, but it was different) who must have kept 4 packs of those dispell jewels. Omg....it would piss me off having to fight him with those freaking gems.

LMAO....LoLo was funny as HELL. We used to run those mountains constantly. I played Intoxiklown then, and my RL buddy was BloodThirst. If you ran those mountains enough, I know you saw (and most likely fought) us.
LoLo had an ungodly run speed though. He was all about fighting, until he realised you were about to stomp his ass....then he was asshole and elbows.

Hah we use to stomp lolo and some buddy of his. He was a hell of a runner, but he had us by quite a few levels at the time, and we worked together. It was a fair exchange of DI's i would say:) Ya those names sound very fimiliar. Thats great.
PMG rage wasnt a bad guy to my knowledge. He seemed like a good shit. It got hard to remember who people were after a while. I played on MT and DT at the same time. I traded a friggin matty robe when they were uber for a level 60 account on DT from MT. At the time the highest level guy on DT was like 101. His name was crispy critter? Crispy fried? i was told it was one of bloods alts... Its been such a long fucking time:) he was Spec magic d, also to my understanding one of the first, if not the first.
I remember my buddy going "shit... run...."
"fuck that, lets kill him"
"Crispy critter resists your spell"
"Crispy critter resists your spell"

"You Knock Crispy Critter to the Next Morningthaw!"
My buddy "Holy fucking shit you killed him"
I Flaunted that shit for so long, Man those were good times. When you can remember when you killed one guy in a fight and were proud of it.. thats when the game was at its best. When i fought 5 or 6 on 1 at sith and won. I'd be damned if i could remember one of their names.

Yo, my guild SUN is going to play for sure. On DT we were quite small guild (10 people or so, now we are around 100), and most of our time there we were tied up with KoC/Blood.
We will play euro server though, because 90%+ of the guild is from europe - even if some of us miss playing with/vs all the oldtime US guilds like koc, mercs, ddh, Sin, etc.
Let me mention some of our members char names from DT, that people might recognize, in no particular order:
Niller (Blood, Niller al Koc, Mitarius Motormus), Moon XL, Victoire / Elisa d'Ambre, Al Neo, White Morpheus, Angeldust, Daszoeb, Elvis SUN /Tubby Gold, KTV (Sophia Khan + Genuflect), Bekka, Kal Hex, scr'/jezz II, Legoxiar, Puff the magic dragon, Myrd/Myrdraal, Caranthir, Bullseye, Cloud SUN/Kharmash, Den Onde Bonde (grim reaper, weezing) , Megaterri, Scorpy X, Tokster/chrisbenn, Zunk/finnen, Campa, Xink (choo choo train), Malaria/zelfain/berzerk, etc. and myself Vimfuego/Noodlez.

I always liked Dasz. He was funny as hell, and we had some REALLY good fights at the GC when SIKs were the rage, and Blood tried to take it from us.
And Khael, I didn't know you were Noodlez. We fought quite a few times when I was playing Intoxiklown and Dread Thrill. Part of me wants us to be friends cause I know the skill level of PvP you have, and the other part of me wants to pick a fight with you cause I know the skill level of PvP you have.

I certainly hope we can re-create that AC-DT vibe, without the rampant cheating. I left the game when you couldn't fight anyone who didn't use Speed hacks (obvious). Which un-fortunately included nearly all of the Blood names.
Still AC-DT was the only game aside from SB that got my blood pumping.
Khael's list is definitely something from the early days of DT. Most of the names I enjoyed killing well. I wasn't overly impressed with blood but the XL's were certainly top notch PvPers.
I think many of the old guilds will be seen if/when DFO actually comes out. I known that JoV, Sinister, PRX, THe Fremen Knignts, Defenders of Order & TAO are still around with tons of the old names. There are even some newer guilds made up of old players like Pfb which will certainly follow the herd.
PRX will definitely come IF the game ever arrives. Hopefully we can fight our old SUN enemies with old school names like Kv The Anti, Cheeseman, The Village Idiot, Ronan, Majo, Tequila Sunrise, Doctor Love, Seven, CHinaCat, Red Monika and more. Unfortunately it is likely we will be on US servers.
Does anyone ever notice that the battles we had in AC-DT were truly epic? I remember many of them well, unlike the newer games since then like DAoC & WoW.

You have a good memory Thrill. Of course just yesterday I was thinking how the older I get the less time there seems to be between events. eg... to a 15 yr old, 12 yrs old happened a long time ago and most details will not be recalled, though to a 25 yr old, 22 was just yesterday.

"Crispy critter resists your spell"
"Crispy critter resists your spell"
"Crispy critter resists your spell"
"Crispy critter resists your spell"
"You Cast Frost Vulnerability VI on Crispy Critter"
*God mode*
"Crispy critter resists your spell"
"Crispy critter resists your spell"
"You Freeze Crispy Critter for 103 Points with Frost Bolt VI"
"You Freeze Crispy Critter for 89 Points with Frost Bolt VI"
"Crispy critter resists your spell"
"Crispy critter resists your spell"
"You Knock Crispy Critter to the Next Morningthaw!"
My buddy "Holy fucking shit you killed him"
I Flaunted that shit for so long, Man those were good times. When you can remember when you killed one guy in a fight and were proud of it.. thats when the game was at its best. When i fought 5 or 6 on 1 at sith and won. I'd be damned if i could remember one of their names.
6on1 wasn't such an accomplishment but was always tremendously satisfying
a lot of guilds would migrate from carebear servers, and end up getting completely raped, endrin the mercenary had a shitty guild full of noobs, I used to raid war room and rape all
I could cast circles around those noobs, literally
I still have my PPGSA too, but my account has been inactive for about a year and a half :p

I also played DT for 2 years, but was a no-name low level who you'd not know. Did have a ruddin' blast though :) Good to see people from the same MMO background. Are Mahirim cool in your clan?
Mostly played on carebear servers (SC,WE,VT) but also occasionally played on DT with a bunch of friends. I leveled a character to 126+ (grand stroumph) if I recall correctly, I think my bro is still playing there too... Was very fun, even though I was sometimes getting raped pretty bad :D
I'd be glad to join a group of ex-ACers.

And I am against them. But a zerg is a clan or alliance who recruits anyone. I have no problem with a large guild that has actual recruiting standards. Hell, SF became a very large guild in AC. And was well on the way of becoming one in SB as well, but then WoW released and killed the servers...=/

You openly recruit off of forums. You call those standards? Ignorance is bliss, carebear.
I mean guilds who grow large INGAME by getting new players off off of their accomplishments and repuations.
The only thing your clan has accomplished in a game is get their cities burned down, being run off of servers to hard for them, and faking arguments on a game forum with an ally to advertise your "innovative" ideas of running a clan.
Wow...I just reread the above paragragh, and no damn wonder I call you guys carebear trash.

Was also a no name and I didn't bloom into a hardcore until playing wow and realizing how bad I had my hands tied. I came back to DT but by then it was pretty much "not what she use to be". As for back in the day I was there too but I only played by DT account only a few house a month where I clocked like 50 hours on TD. And yes I am a carebare poser. I and my close friends were greatly hated on DT, and I am sure you hated me too, but I have no hard feelings towards anyone on DT
heres some hints-
we were often accused of gearing, but I personally didn't
we never lost a fight,
whenever two guilds were fighting each other, they would stop fighting, and try to gank me (inevitable fail attempt)
when someone said "duel me" I accepted the duel, and ganked them anyway, because dueling is, by The Law of the Council, carebearism.
I'll reveal my name's on DT when the game comes out, because when everyone's insta-hate comes down on me, I can actually do something about it without having to type a bunch on forumfall :)

Any players from older games finding old friends on these forums?

Well, cries of GEAR became the instant excuse people would scream when you killed them since it's use was so rampant on the server for a time. And some people just could not accept they were not very good at PvP, and justified it to themselves by automatically assuming you HAD to be cheating to kill them.
I played DT Dec '99 until roughly early '04, and I can't think of anyone who was that hated server wide. And I ran around with GO, Pms Rage, Graveborn, The Defiler, and a host of other despised PKs. Hell, I was part of the original "Traitor's Fellowship" as they dubbed us that started the Uziz Wars, and I wasn't KOS to the entire server regardless of what was going on.

Okay, I exaggerated
But I still feel I was one of the few that truly didn't care for honor and duels.
Tking, stealing, lying, ganking
Winning is the ultimate win, doesn't matter how you got that way.
I can always recall most of the server saying, "duel me if you think you are so good", when they end up being killed by me, whether I just ganked them with guildies or not, this is a great factor what made people hate
I rarely died, using several different instant-port portal gems to escape ganks & lots of health potions
on and off ac since late 99 to 2007
Don't try to tell me the whole server didn't insta-hate anyone they couldn't kill, fight cheaply and do whatever it takes to win. When general chat came out I constantly declared that I could not be killed, which sprung lots of duel offers, which always resulted in them dying
General chat pretty much made the game a forumfall chat room, lmao

It really doesnt matter all that much where they come from. The only thing that they have is an experience and a shared familiarity, this game is totally different to anything anyone has experienced and therefore the learning kirb will be just as steep for all. Only some will have the tools and experience to make the most out of this.

Anyone other than me currently playing on Darktide?
I played most of my AC career on Leafcull, but I would say around 2004 I switched to Darktide. I haven't played too seriously, and took lots of long breaks, so my highest level is only a 75. It is harder than ever now because everyone is level 200+ with the odd newb here and there. Guilds are smaller and more fractured, and there are no ANTIs at all. PKs only. Somehow, I get by. I remember a recent battle where I was landing debuffs on a level 275. It definitely still gets the blood pumping.
I jumped a lot of guilds, but my most memorable time in a guild was when I was a part of Deaths Grip. I remember we were part of an alliance that controlled an olthoi horde nest. It wasn't that bad, because all I had to do to avoid getting ganked was just go deep into the dungeon. People were busy getting ganked at the drop point.
I also remember writing a macro for a character I named Lemme Borrow Ppgsa. It just had him attack anything randomly. I left him on that macro right at the starter outpost, and went to bed. I woke up and I was level 16.

I quit AC about 2 weeks ago. I played mostly on o.O servers from 99'-2005'. Started DT around 06' and found it to be a pretty awesome experience, white servers were completely boring though. All I pretty much did my late years of white worlds was set my macros, always was tired of constant questing and grinding xp from monsters. That's pretty much what DT has turned into as well, they've added a new grind for gear, which involves getting the new loot through quests. It was interesting at first to be getting new gear, after a while repeating the same lame quests was incredibly boring.

For those with the sketchy memory here is the story from the TFK point of view
As told by its members
A Brief History of The Fremen Knights
- written by Officer Miles Trophar.
CODE OF ASHERON:
The Code of Asheron, from the earliest days of the Fremen Knights, has guided the actions of the allegiance. Believed by most Knights to have been delivered by Asheron Realaidain, the Code's origins are still quite mysterious. Conflicting reports give two possible methods in which the Code came to Fremen Knights founder Kile Thomsun.
The first theory is that Asheron came to Kile Thomsun in the form of a vision, much in the manner it was said he called Thomsun to Dereth...
"I was in a large narrow hall. The sides of the hall were filled with armored warriors, both men and women, but try as I might, I could not make out their individual features. In the distance I could see a throne with a massive warrior standing before it. I felt myself starting forward, walking towards the warrior. But as I approached the figure, it changed. Now it was a Wizard with a long flowing beard and eyes that seemed to pierce my very soul; next, a valiant bowman, his powerful long bow cradled in his arms; then, a fierce Amazon whose beauty made my heart pound even in my dream state. Finally, it became him. Asheron. Do not ask me how I knew. I just knew. Mighty Asheron, Sad Asheron, Asheron the All Powerful, Asheron the Powerless, all these and so much more. "I forced myself to look him in the eye. Not smart. I felt as if I was looking directly into the heart of an infinite universe. I had to quickly pull my eyes away before they blinded by its infinite glory. Not smart at all. "Asheron spoke.
I'm not going to tell you everything he told me. Much of it was for my ears only. Those of us that have been directly called by Asheron have all shared this type of experience, but the details of the actual experience are unique to each of us. I am also not going to say that everything was settled in this meeting and I was reconciled to serve Asheron. What I will say is that here is where I received my calling, still somewhat shapeless, but real nonetheless. Here, also, is where Asheron gave me his code."
-Kile Thomsun
The second theory is somewhat simpler, albeit less inspiring...
"Kile hit his head on a tree."
-Stitch
It is entirely possible that both are correct and that the tree was a catalyst to the vision. When one considers the detail of the Code, it discounts the idea that it was a common hallucination. Since its arrival, the code in which the Fremen Knights live their lives has been amended only rarely in the case of changing times and for clarification.
EARLY UZIZ:
In the A'mun, the Gharu'ndim people whispered of an isolated town on the edge of the desert. It could not easily be reached. The hellions of Dereth, who needlessly murdered their own kind all over the island, only occassionally made the journey. Why seek a small town in the distance when there was fresh blood in Holtburg and Rithwic? The decent people of Dereth learned this and set out to make it a town of safety and peace. It was Uziz.
Kile Thomsun, founder of The Fremen Knights, learned of it in its earlist days. Thomsun would roam the desert, meeting new arrivals to Dereth. In Samsur, he found the man who would be Second Knight of the allegiance one day, Stitch.
"He told me about Uziz, and we both agreed to travel there. Kile was already based there."

While reluctant at first, Thomsun finally agreed to take vassals and to lead an allegiance that would become The Fremen Knights. Early followers included Stich, Poltaire al-Arious, Xenn, Raina al-Bohar, Silva, Faveo, Herbal, Angry Ghandi, and a few more as the weeks went on. However, the allegiance was kept small, as was common at the time.
The residents of Uziz had found a safe haven away from many of the mindless raiders and thugs. In an effort to keep their town safe from aggressors and to better communicate amoung the many new arrivals, the leaders of several allegiances formed an arrangement to ally their peoples: The Thasali Alliance.
Named after a dungeon a short jog outside Uziz territory, The Thasali Alliance was one of the first attempts at allying different allegiances in Dereth. Many would come later. The Iron Triangle Alliance, The Rhino Party, and others. Yet, this was an early endeavor. New ground was broken. Lord Warrior, Metellus Cimber, Lava, Thorin Oakenshield, Kile Thomsun, and the future Queen of Uziz formed a pact to defend their home and communicate amoung the allegiances.
Early enemies of Uziz included Shin Shiro, Patryn, and after some time, Lava and Lord Warrior...
"Lord Warrior was one of the original Uziz monarchs. A militaristic leader, many were drawn to his allegience. Unfortunately, a string of events with Lava guild members brought out a darkness within him that he never recovered from. It turns out he was always on the precipice of madness."
-The Good Nun
THE GREAT BETRAYL:
Peace had been realized in Uziz. Many allegiances began to make it their home. With the newly-discovered Direlands town of Ayan Baqur growing in popularity, many were able to visit Uziz through the portal which connected them. Yet, as the small desert town's population grew, so did its problems. While protected by those of The Thasali Alliance and later The Iron Triangle Alliance, which guarded Ayan Baqur, Baishi, and Uziz, the desert faced its greatest threat to date: The Great Betrayal.
"The Great Betrayal was a vicious and failed attempt at social engineering. Their goal was to 'toughen up' the people they perceived as 'soft'. The result was disaster and a near complete abandonment of Uziz. Indeed it was the end of the Golden Age of Uziz."
-The Good Nun
Led in part by a turncoat named Lowjack, the betrayers grew uneasy with the peace in Uziz. It is said that some resented the leading allegiances and their rules, causing the riots and raids that led to the Betrayal. Some hoped to gain that very political power. Others saw it as an opportunity for change. Many simply followed because of personal friendships. The exact reasons may be lost to time. Some Uziz citizens, rather than take a side in the civil war, left town to avoid battling friends and former allies. The delicate and fragile peace in Uziz was shattered. The traitors recruited well-known and powerful soldiers from outside Uziz. Names such as Graveborn and Darkstar joined the conflict, perhaps only to take part in the great war rather than the political motivations of the others. Followers of nearly every defending allegiance lost members to the betrayers. Even The Fremen Knights...
"Plenty did, but the people that stayed are what forms the core today. Noone that sticks out, or is with us today."
-Stitch
The battles raged and emcompassed not only Uziz but also Baishi and Ayan Baqur. Friends and family waged war on each other. When the dust settled, nobody truly won. The betrayers went on their way, and Uziz was largely abandoned save for many loyal Fremen Knights and a fraction of the original defenders.
THE RETURN:
In the aftermath of The Great Betrayl, Ayan Baqur fell into anarchy as Blood sieged the town and claimed it for its own. Uziz and Baishi, its sister towns, felt the effects of the war. Uziz buckled under the pressure of the recent Betrayl and now this new catastrophe. The remaining citizens and defenders could not by themselves keep the waning popultion from seeking new territory and new lives. Uziz was fading.
The Fremen Knights regrouped in the Plateau Village. Its seclusion much like Uziz in the early days, the Plateau was a safe haven in the ever-changing island of Dereth. The Knights made friends with an allegiance called the Toes and helped keep the peace in this new town. Not long after, Kile Thomsun, unable to lead the allegiance due to personal reasons, stepped down and offered the First Knight position to long-time follower Faveo.
"No longer did we stay in Uziz. We expanded outside and took the fight to the outlaws."
-Faveo
While reorganized elsewhere, the hearts of the Fremen were still very much in the desert...
"Faveo had taken over leadership by that time and we began our gorilla tactics running up to Ayan Baqur and hit and running it, using the bay southwest of the Uziz port as our staging area."
-Kokanee
As time went on, the Arcanum constructed housing for the people of Dereth. In searching for a mansion, The Fremen Knights decided to make their full return to Uziz and committed themselves even more to its protection. While the mansion is the allegiance's headquarters, Uziz is its home. In this new stage of the growing allegiance, the torch was passed to Kokanee to lead the Fremen as new First Knight.
"Wasn't very long that Faveo contacted me about taking over leadership officially and I accepted."
-Kokanee
NUN DYNASTY:
From the ashes of The Great Betrayal, The Good Nun emerged as the Queen of Uziz. An early resident of the proud town, the Queen came into power to rebuild Uziz from the fall from the Golden Age. To reconstruct a shattered society.
"When the large monarchies left there was a band of us, mostly untagged, left to caretake in Uziz. Through what was much like a series of gladitorial combat, I was elevated into the position of Queen of Uziz. It was in respect of my dedication to the town and it's inhabitants combined with the brute strength and finesse I displayed in combat against those who would be warlords over the town."
-The Good Nun
The Nun Dynasty allegiance, made up of only a handful of seasoned veterans and new recruits, kept the peace in Uziz during its darkest days. Ayan Baqur, the crowded Direlands town which was connected to Uziz by portal, was in great dispute amoung the many allegiances who would have it for themselves. The war, combined with the earlier catastrophe, forced the vast majority of Uziz citizens to regroup elsewhere. With the Queen's numbers dwindling, a scarce few remained to watch over town and protect its fading population.
The Queen sought help from time to time. Temporarilly swearing into Maud'dib's army to strengthen support for the battles in Ayan Baqur and Uziz. Politics clashed shortly after, and the Queen was alone again. Alliances with several allegiances in Khayyaban were attempted but failed in the end. Uziz freedom was largely a fight for The Nun Dynasty alone... ...until one day The Fremen Knights sought to reclaim Uziz from the Bloods and endless barrage of plunderers. The Queen swore into their allegiance, bringing the last remaining of her vassals with her. The Fremen Knights purged the town of its evils as they do to this day.
SOLDIERS OF LIGHT:
A strong family of priests that serve Tempus, the God of War, and are built on a strong foundation of loyalty and friendship. They inhabit many worlds, spreading the word of Tempus to all and striking fear into the hearts of those who cherish evil. The Soldiers of Light have been through many changes, which has only strenghtened their resolve to strive towards peace through aggression, a motto they hold close to their hearts.
The Soldiers of Light are always proven to be a formidable opponent to those who sought to extinguish the flame of light, causing them to have many enemies. However, this has also brought the attention of strong allies over the years, and will do so for many more.
Led by Solarch Arcar, the Soldiers of Light fought the raiders and criminals of the Northern town of Stonehold. In the days when holding and protecting a town held the highest importance, Stonehold was one of the few shining lights in a chaotic world of darkness. The Soldiers, amoung others, fought to preserve the peace and banish all who threatened it, employing a philosophy of "peace through aggression."
With The Fremen Knights and various other allegiances, the Soldiers of Light joined the Rhino Party Alliance. A band of different armies striving towards similar ends. However, with differing voices and wide opinions on how to accomplish their goals, both the Knights and Soldiers decided to leave the Rhinos to focus on their own methods rather than relying on the others.
In an effort to form a stronger bond, the Soldiers of Light and The Fremen Knights joined under the Fremen banner. Unfortunately, the merger was not fated to last long. Tensions arose as Soldiers realized they may be losing their identity. So, the Soldiers of Light set out on their own. Not long after, membership dwindled, and the Soldiers attempted to buy a mansion to solidify their diminishing presense in Dereth...
"After aquiring almost everything we needed, people were really losing interest, so it was decided that SOL would disband in the world of Dereth. So we disbanded before recieving a mansion."
-Thundergod
In the aftermath, many Soldiers join The Fremen Knights to reunite with old friends, where some still live to this day.
THE VIRUS CLAN:
In the decade following humanity's liberation from the Olthoi, small clans of noble warriors banded together to keep the evils at bay. One such allegiance, The Virus Clan, was formed in the Aluvian town of Glenden Wood by a man named Lava. His was a small but proud group, battling those who would seek to bring destruction to Dereth. Lava eventually joined the Uziz-based Thasali Alliance.
One day, it is said that Lava began speaking to Shadows. Lore is vague as to the origins of these creatures, but some say many followed Bael'Zharon and his Master. Lava changed. Many believe he was infected with something that altered his perceptions while others insist someone in his allegiance, Halloween, was largely responsible. A wise scholar named Cardinal Siddartha claimed to be able to cure Lava of the Shadow Virus with a combination of Mt. Lethe's water and an item inscribed by Lava himself, but it was never administered.
Whatever the reason, Lava began to wage war on all of Dereth. The exception being the Shadows. To him, they were innocent, and keeping humans weak meant better chance of survival for his new people. These actions split the Clan. Christmas, sister of Halloween, left the allegiance. Lava's numbers grew to approximately two hundred followers at the height of the Virus Clan.
One night, on Halloween's namesake, she raided Shoushi with the rest of the Clan, daring all of Dereth to kill her. A pyreal nugget to whoever was able to bring her down. The Virus Clan battled so often that Lava grew weary and decided to leave Dereth. With the blessing of a cleric named Min, Halloween and Lava were married atop Mt. Zabool. At the conclusion, Lava leapt over the edge and disappeared into history.
KEE TANA:
I first met the members of The Fremen Knights when I was in Grix, and they came to live at the Nexus lifestone with Grix. Most of us hung out and muled at the tower there, until the action became a bit too hot and heavy and our mules were being killed. Several of us moved to mule hill, overlooking the sea, and The Fremen Knights members soon followed. It was there on mule hill that I really got to observe The Fremen Knights and its individual members. I was impressed. Enough so, that I was disconcerted to discover that The Fremen Knights had found a new home, and started moving to the current lifestone. I had become unhappy with the behavior of some of the members of Grix, but I have a fairly strong sense of loyalty and would not normally have left. But when I expressed my unhappiness about their leaving to Harmony and Stitch and was invited to join them, I think I jumped at the chance Eventually Dan Tana and I broke from Grix, and joined The Fremen Knights at the 'new' lifestone.
We barely had time to get used to the new spawns, get our mules moved from Cragstone to Glendon Wood, and be comfortable about finding a reasonably safe trip to the merchants and the Glenden Wood portal, when Fists of Vengeance decided this was a tasty lifestone they wanted for themselves. It was a heavy war for us. I think we had only about thirty to thirty-five members at the time, and this was pre-housing and pre-mansion, so there was no place safe to flee to. This was our home, and we fought like demons.
It wasn't a very long war, perhaps a week. Primarily because Fists of Vengeance (as he admitted later to Faveo) discovered the battle proved too difficult for them.
-Kee Tana
LEGEND:
I began my existance in this realm in the town of Shoushi and eventually made Hebian-To my home. New to this existence I quickly saw a difference among the others sent to this world. All were warriors, but some lacked an honor and dignity, while others possessed a caring, compassion and pride that I had not witnessed prior. I quickly learned that the easy path was to fight without honor, but was unable to make myself battle in that way. Rather than take the easy road I decided early on that I would take the harder, yet more rewarding road.
While fighting the evil members of the Dark Master clan my bravery in battle was finally rewarded when I pledged to my first patron. D O of the Destructor guild. Destructor called Nedysia Castle his home so after a very long journey I arrived there to help defend my new home. There I befriended many such as Jida, Disintegrator, Patriot and Marshal. Eventually Disintegrator broke and went into GEN dragging D O and myself unwittingly with him. Upon finding out the true nature of the GEN monarchy I immediately broke and found myself alone roaming around the northern mountains.
It was here I met up with a vagabond. Nearly naked and unable to venture more than one click from his lifestone before dying I met a friend that has stayed true to this day... Mr Road Runner. Wild Man and I started hunting with this fellow and found him to share our values. It was Mr Road Runner who suggested that we travel to Stonehold and pledge into the guild Reckless. It was here that I met my best patroness... Honey Comb and her patron General Tsao. Together we defended Stonehold continuously, raids were frequent and well orchestrated, but we withstood them as best we could. Defending both Nedysia and Stonehold are and will probably always be the highlight of my existence here.
Eventually Reckless merged into TAO and we were finally asked to leave our home of Stonehold to help defend Dry Reach against Alberon Mindeater. While the war was just, both clans had common interests and my heart was not in the battles. It was then that TAO decided to try to take the South Dires Lifestone. I undertook the arduous run and reached the lifestone. Here I was repeatedly mutilated until a retreat was finally sounded. Battered and bruised and longing for our old home of Stonehold we took our leave of TAO. Leaving Reckless still with TAO was one of the hardest choices we had made.
From there General Tsao then took on a new, more powerful role as War Angel. Around this vastly more powerful character we built our own monarchy. We befriended others who also called Stonehold home, Isbreath, Isgod and Sam Powers. We brought our two alliances together with the intention of building a powerful monarchy with Stonehold as our home.
Ah... best intentions...
We were beset with bickering, and I must admit that I did my share. It seemed that though we all had the same goals, some were willing to put up with some clan members that were insufferable... Cramos. Not just Cramo, but Cramo is the name I now use for all the people that want to be anti, but just can't seem to get the concept down one hundred percent. Unhappy that such people would be allowed to remain in the guild I decided to leave. The story is a bit longer than that, but the theme is the same.
Remembering my visit to a distant lifestone out in the dires with Jida and the Dawkinsons that behaved with such honor and ferocity I decided to seek out this clan. I made my way to Uziz and started hanging around the town to see if these Knights really behaved with the honor they claimed. I've not been disappointed. It seems that here my goals are the same while my values are and always have been in place. I fight with honor, knowing all the while that my clanmates are doing the same. After all this time, dying means little now, as long as I die while putting up a good fight. From what I can tell of the Knights old rosters, only Thorin Oakenshield has been in this realm longer than I of all the Knights that still exist. I still keep both Nedysia and Stonehold as ties as I will still stand guard over my old homes although the raids are fewer now. The thought of others desecrating my old homes is not appealing and I still fight them when these old bones find themselves aching for a fight.

FYI TFK still has an active Chapter in AC/DT and we still have the mansion in Uziz.

I know this char!
Far as I know, first dagger guy to triple strike was Blood Thirst. Out of all the dagger guys I knew, he was the most dangerous one of them all. Even Pms wouldn't mess with him solo....lol
Ask El Diablo who was the craziest dagger guy in Uziz.
I left him with nothing but his underpants many a time. Usually after his vassal's called him for help.

Lol, I am pretty sure ghengishawn was my dad's patron (he got into ac:dt later as I was leaving).
He had a few chars, I remember one was named Headslice. I think at the time you guys were LSed up north somewhere, like north and west of arwic?
My dad was never good though (never cut out for DT). He was just too slow doing everything. I don't think he got past level 25 or so:(
We still talk about DT though it is fun to compare our experiences since we ran with different groups.

And I remember having to run out to the tower to bust up those tea parties you and HDL were having with the skellies

I played on DT for about 4 years, I recognise alot of names from this thread, I wasn't around for the start but I heard the stories.
I started out with a small guild called Emii, went from there to CoA - Xanthro, Sawato was our home for alot of it. I spent time in other guilds and my view of things got somewhat skewed shall we say. I was never anything worth writing home about as I played from Ireland on a 56k dial-up.
Someone still plays my chars I think, he's done more for my name than I ever did.

Best to forget all about him.

Just popping my head in this thread to say HI to all the old DTers.
I was a perma-noob/DI dispenser by the name of Oak the Templar, later on I rerolled as Oakk.
I lived in stonehold with PRX (PRX's monarch was Ronan) during the SH wars period, then we moved to Dryreach. After PRX officially quit, people who stayed merged into Khao I think it was and the final time I came back think I was in Towel?
Big shout out to my old friends and enemies - particularly Fu-Dun-Chi ("Prepare to meet the lifestone, worms!") - wasn't he a secret alt of an anti or something? His stonehold raids were always a blast.
A big raspberry to all the ice-capades crew, you know who you are. Ice skating backwards around the walls of Dryreach faster than you could run forwards, firing spells as they went. Hmmmmm
Anyways, on to the point of my post. How about we try and congregate on one server (Or at least one US and one Euro)? Hell, even include the old UO players (I was Barfusic Isembold on Drachenfels, for the record). Basically gather all the people from the Golden Era and re-unite them. And I am talking the "good" as well as the "evil" here - you need good enemies in a game, someone to play "the forces of evil" - no AI, no script can make me feel the way player-driven events made mee feel in the stonehold days - the world a tide of filth and a Few Good Men trying to make a stand for what is good and right, blah blah - you didn't need to be an RPer to feel it.
Oh, and I have a really bad memory, but I am pretty sure that VIIs pre-dated triple strike by quite a long time. Wasn't triple strike introduced when those new islands popped up, with all the idols and such? That would be way after VIIs surely?

I got a couple of guys who were at Teth, under Alberon Mindeater in my clan. We all share good laughs about that place, moreso since SF used to raid it to hunt the BSD. We wound up with an uneasy truce with AM though, and they let us use their BSD as long as we made it a point to kill Bloods in the area with them.
And yea, Vidar. The old days when most of the server was part of an anti group made being a PK ungodly fun and exciting. PKs were actually treated like criminals, which made it all the more alluring to play....lol.

Aww yea. What held me in that game so long was the politics of the land. Certain monarchies controlled certain dungeons. UNless your clan was on their cool list you couldnt even think about leveling there.
There was a real community in that game. It wasnt all about getting the most epic gear and being the highest level. it was about making a name for yourself and contributing to the evolving politics.

I see lots of Old school names here. I started on Darktide day one as Aztek in Aziles guild AOD. I played for 5 years under the Patryn (JOV) and Og tags and a short 6 month stint under blood when it first was created after AOD broke up.
My last character was Captain Dasha alevel 221 archer that was the main exp generator for the Og chain.
Many of old older members in Harm played AC Darktide. Thats where the core leaders of our guild met and we have been a guild ever since.
We look forward to seeing both enemies and friends alike in Darkfall if/when it comes out.

And damn og....he ran everyone out of golem burial grounds!!
DT is still kickin, maybe not the way we remember, but The Fremen Knights still have a ood 5-10 people that are still playing.

I am starting to get a LOT of PMs from old school DT'ers who remember me and my clan (most of who I remember as well), telling me they want to wear my colors, and are foaming at the mouth to kill "carebears"....LOL
Any players from older games finding old friends on these forums?
I'm gonna have to change my name from Select Few to Select Few Thousand....LOL
Same thing, old friends/guildies from EQ1 sending me e-mails and getting hyped to start up the old guild for DF.

I played Calvyn the Archmage on DT. Am a long term member of The Black Rose. I can't wait to get back together with all of them in this game. It should be a blast.

Real Pk's do not duel.

Real Pk's do not duel.
Real Pk's only fight fairly, they never gank, they don't loot (unless their enemy is on the guild KOS+L list) and they NEVER NEVER trash talk
The most respected PK's are the ones who can duel for MMDs in Subway

Real Pk's never loot? thrill who the fuck are you letting into your clan?
Carebears duel for MMDs in subway. Real pvp, real Pkers don't need to gang bang or trash talk, those are bitch traits. Theres no way i respect a dueler more then someone who always holds his own in a real battle. Thats a PK bro.

;2014526']I see lots of Old school names here.
Ah, I remember Aztek as well. I played G-zus and Sekrit Squirrel.

I remember Sekrit Squirrel. I think i was indirectly sworn to you under Daikos as one point or another. Either that we (Daikos, Catastrophia and myself) killed you and were all proud about it :)

The Fremen Knights(Dawkinson tag in the somewhat older days) will be in this game. We always had good fights with TK and then TSF in Uziz. I was Sol-Thundergod back then.

I remember admiring GEN and especially Nautica, back when I watched one of my good friends play on DT from a chair behind him. I was still a level 31 staffer on Thistledown then, and I couldn't believe he was level 50 something on DT.
My friend also raved about Yukon Jack and Moon XL. I didn't really know of them from in-game experience though.
I've seen that video of an AB fight with Al Krieger many times over the years...it really must be one of, if not the only, video left from those times. I appreciate that the microphone is recording the out-of-game key stomping; it helps demonstrate how intense AC pvp used to be.
I'm hoping to play on a server with players who have played on DT, but I'm not expecting recreated or neo/psuedo-DT scene. I'm expecting and hoping that Darfall will have an entirely new pk/political environment/feel all its own.
It's interesting though that some of the DF screens do actually remind me of AC. Anyone notice the emphasis on spires and crystals? The illustration of trees reminds me of trees around Arwic in some screens too.

TFK for the win!!!
I fondly remember running and gunning with a UA named SolarArcar. I distntly remember running the portal route with the two of us, when we were jumped by 4 bloods as we dropped portal. All of them were level 90+, we were level 60 & 70.
In the end there were 3 dead bloods, and one managed to recall.
Would this be the same? as Solarch of TFK?
Doesn't TFK have a large British contingent? I remember at one point back in AC I was considering leaving PRX for TFK to have more people to play with in my timezone, but ultimately as we were allied I think it made sod all difference.
Depending on how it goes with DF, I will most likely want to play on the Euro servers but most of PRX are yanks so they will probs play on the american ones, therefore I may end up having to find a euro clan to play with.

We do have quite a few Euros, not sure how many will be playing this game though. Silva/Wildwood, Lynchet, Faveo, Stitch, im too tired to think of more right now

Damn more names from the past.
If this game comes anywhere close to the old Darktide politics and Drama it will be a winner.
Remember the days when you didnt dare go into a certain town unless you had backup and death items because so and so owned it? You also went to certain places to kill certain people.
You went to Plat to kill Toes.
You went to Dryreach to Kill Ronins.
You went to Sawato to kill Xanthros
You went to Zaik to find Jovs.
BR was Kara then it WAS Blood.
And of course you went to AB and Stonehold to find the antis for the longest time.
You hunted down where peoples mule spots were. Nothing better then finding a mound of items on the ground with a level 5 logging in to pick them up in front of you to be one shot with an arrow to the head. Then the main logged on to try and kill you before you looted everything off the mule and the ground hoping you could carry it all away without over burdening yourself. The shittalk was that followed was always classic. Trades were always a stressfull thing unless Cheeseman was the middle man.
God damn I miss those days and hope Darkfall can rekindle those epic wars and situations.
Fuck the WOW clones.
/salute to you old school DTers both friends and enemies.
