How do you find other players? Just run into them or have some sort of tracking system?

Well there is no radar, nothing that points out where players are, no names above heads, no glowing circles, basically just run into em

Hmm.. after playing WoW for a while (no tracking) then playing Shadowbane for a while (has tracking) it'll be interesting to see how this game does without tracking.

There's likely no tracking.

Ok a difficult concept you track them ... YOU. No simple Radar that would be too easy right ?
So thats following people , scouting them .... and whatever methods you can use noise looking for reflections of armor (so shinies like swords metal armor can get you killed so to say :) ), environmental noise is in.
finding a highpoint on the landscape, and looking for clues
But no simple radar, if you don't know you're environment you won't be hunting the wilderness dudes down.

I kind of wish there was some type of floating names over clan mates so you could find them in cities. Maybe they would automaticlly be taken off once you left the city. This way pvp wont be effected. Clans could just use a uniform and such for not fireing on their own members. Then again how would you know who is grouped with you and who isnt. I can see that becomming confusing.

There is clan chat , will take a half a sec to say where you are. Better than a floating name that may be behind a imovable object.
meet at the gates
meet at the bar
meet at the well under the bridge down lane end 3rd on the right after the black cat with the false eye.

THERE is only one type of radar and that is when you are inside of a party and you can ONLY see the fellow party members.

as others have said there is no radar and you can only use your eyes to see things.
However, there could b a "track" skill like there was in UO. It always sucked as a skill but they could do it correctly in this game. It was never implemented correctly in UO.
Nothing that shows someone on a radar though.

theres a thread somewhere about environmental noise / relections of of items which act like a beacon there may be only visual but also enhanced by skills. So if people are careless they may be easily spotted

WoW does have tracking, hunters have it, just that it's not that useful, even in pvp.

Holy crap, my bad for not remembering that! The super important tracking that ONE class has in the game, and its not that useful in any situation.
Grow some common sense, I obviously left it out because its not important.
Thread over.
