Orks
Chapter One
Orks
We all know and love Orks. Big bulky brutish single-minded beasts that care little for everyone else than them selves.
This is a description you find most commonly to fit orks. Aventurine and our Darkfall team have made little difference. For they gave Darkfall Orks intelligence, enough for them to learn magic, to understand each other, to learn to write and to believe in an fire dragon.. Orks are also too known for their talking gift. Ex.
"Green! Iz der any utter color?" - Warhammer Orks.
"The mud around your feet… the buzzing of a million little insects… the rich smell of rotting vegetation upon the wind… there are many places in the world, but no place beats the swamps of Morak."
- Biggor Stonecrusher, Defenders of the Swamp knight. - Darkfall Ork.
The difference is clear.
Chapter Two
Orkish Lore
Orks from different games have different lore. This is an fact that is very clear shown in Games like...World Of Warcraft, Warhammer The Age Of Reckoning and Darkfall. Example:
The Orcs in World of Warcraft's have no deity, and is lead by a Warcheif. Both of these things came from their history, their lore.
The Orks in Warhammer is lead by a warboss, and thats that. He is the wiser, he is the leader.
Now, in Darkfall, the Ork's most common deity is The Fire Dragon. One day, The Grand Messenger of The Fire Dragon, Arxanthos, went into a cave and came out and said : 'Hey! I saw I fairly pretty firedragon in there...And it talked to me! Hey, Lets worship it'. As there is no exact information about this happening, this is how i think it.
Anyhow, Arxanthos does this and converts some orks to be his priests. Slowly they get power, and they begin the creation of the Dragonbound.
Some orks resisted, The Thugs Guild and The Iron Orks. The Dragonbound sacrificed to this famous dragon, and they questioned it.
"If we sacrifice everyone else, who will be left to build, clean and make food? Only us, that's who!!! If you ask me, the Dragonbound are crazy and Grand Messenger Arxanthos is a big, fat, talky cheat."
- Arhard Deathspear, Iron Ork officer.
"In the olden days, it was every ork to himself and the will of the strongest always previle… prelaive… decided. To bring back those happy days, when death was everywhere, we must slay the dragon and chop off the Big Head!"
- Angrar Stabface, Guild of Thugs member.
They simply asked why orks should begin hiding behind a big dragon. While these questions were asked, The Grand Messenger Arxanthos had received the message that a day soon the Big Burning should realize. The Big Burning was when the orks should gather all their orks, all their strength in one, One great army. They should raid all, and burn Agon. When every life was set out, they should take ultimate domination of Agon and rule the world.Of course they'll meet serious resistance, not that they think of that.
Chapter Three
The Orkish Territory
I don't know how many forms of orks which has been made, but indeed there has some. All been placed different locations, different landscapes, which out from that also have been giving them a form of...Personality.
The Orks in Darkfall are no difference. They live in the Swamps of Morak, in the central eastern part of Agon's main continent. Their neighbors, The Dwarves of Dvergheim and the Humans of Mercia, are in a never-ending war with the orks. To The Swamps Of Morak's east side lies the jungle continent, or sub-continent, of Yssam – An great celestial dragon is known to roam Yssam. To the southeast of The swamps is Silvertown – A neutral city state. And to Morak's westside lies the Pall of Oncylus which slowly spreads across Agon's heartland.
It is hard to say that the Swamps of Morak is a beauty. It rains much of the time, and the swamp pools around are indeed not looking clean. Insects swarming around everywhere, over everything.
It is hard not to sink in the muddy ground.
But not is there only swamp, but too is there rough lands.. A great part, more precisely, a third part of Morak is also covered in volcanoes, magma and stone. Given that the sun rarely shines, Morak is no wonder of an landscape.
That is not to say about Flaming Skull, The capital city of the orks. It is surrounded by a lava 'lake', lying on the edges of an volcano. Minor eruptions of the volcano is frequent, and well known in Flaming Skull. No concern, as a matter of fact, It pleases the orks. Because all the ash rains down, and covers the shining sun to be a big black sun.
Right in the middle of Flaming Skull, there is an pyramid like building. It is the Great Stairs, and that is the lair of the Fire Dragon. Dozens, no, sometimes even hundreds, of victims, sacrifices are through into the ever burning building.
Around Flaming Skull there is three small towns. They are :
Metal Heart
Chopping Necks
New Flayed Elf
Metal Heart is one of three small towns. This is one of the places were new orkish adventures uses to start their travel. Metal Heart is positioned on an island, and is surrounded of swampy liquid.
Chopping Necks is another one of three small towns. This is also one of the places were new, fresh orkish adventures start their travels to lands off far. Chopping Necks is located on-top of a pillar system, which rises from a lava lake.
New Flayed Elf is another of the three small towns – But probably the most interesting. To start with, its a port community town where the new orkish sailors usually gather to begin journeying. But New Flayed Elf is an town that lies beside Flayed Elf. Flayed Elf was exactly a town like New Flayed Elf, but Flayed Elf was burned to the ground after a volcano eruption. The Flaming Skull orks were ordered to build another New Flayed Elf beside Flayed Elf's ruins.
Chapter Four
Orkish Factions
There are a good amount of different factions in Darkfall. The orks have too, a good amount.
Some of them are:
The Iron Orks
The Dragonbound
The Guild Of Thugs
The Erodach
The Defenders Of The Swamp
The Iron Orks.
The Iron Orks is an elite group of one of Moraks greatest armies, as a matter of fact, One of the greatest on all Agon. This army is lead by Big Head Uzrok. Rumors tell, that Big Head Uzrok plans to wrest the power from the Dragonbound, were the use of Iron Orks are included. The Iron Orks are utterly loyal to Uzrok and they'll do whatever he bids.
The Dragonbound
The Dragonbound are priests and clerics that have gathered under the Grand Messenger Arxanthos, and The Fire Dragon. They have gathered in the faith that Grand Messenger Arxanthos dream messages from the great red dragon is true, and that the Big Burning shall happen.

The Guild of Thugs is an organized, highly - That is by orkish standards - group of thugs, thieves and Outlaws in general, that fights for Morak to break in anarchy. They undermine The Big Head Uzrok's army, and despite the Dragonbound.

An alien race to Darkfall, the Erodach is superior creatures with affiliation to the element fire. The Erodach see them selves ally with the Fire Dragon, Ally with the orks. They are haughty and cold – They may have come to Agon for other reasons than told, for reasons surely kept secret.
The Defenders Of The Swamp
The Defenders of The Swamp – Their name tells much about them, really. It is an orkish community of guards and soldiers, knights and brutes, that seek to keep the Swamps of Morak clean from Sadayel and other scum.
