I don't get how someone would use the internet at work for posting on a forum... feels so, out of character...

Unless you have a private office with walls and stuff. Even then, it's not your computer. Most companies monitor all activity you make so it's like having someone watching over your back the entire time. Would get irritating... especially since bosses often fire people simply because they don't agree with their opinions.

Funilly enough, at my college they have darkfallonline.com blocked... But not the forums.

Ever noticed how the person who is nerdiest and most likely to surf the internet for porn and games while at work (the tech-support dude) never gets caught doing anything wrong?

It's uncanny. :sly:

ForumFall: It's not just for work anymore. In about an hour I will be at the university on my laptop beginning another painful year made tolerable by the campus wide wifi.

They should have a new slogan at those game design colleges...

Game Design: So easy, Lethn can do it.

Game design is hard enough to get into if you have 20 years of experience...let alone no real direction...

Most IT Depts. have more important things to do than watch over everyone's specific internet activities. They may look for red flags, but 99% of all internet usage in the workplace (where browsing is permitted) is not monitored, it just isn't feasible.

I work for myself (computer repair), never had a formal job. I just can't function in the workplace because I'm a self-oriented worker and I hate teams. Also I'm not very social. But seriously, fuck working for other people, make yourself rich.

The only interview I've ever had was at Burger King when I was 17 (23 now), and I didn't get hired, rofl.

I post from my iPhone in my office. Not really concerned that anyone sees my posting as I am paid on commision.

Works out well and since it's a small company and I work mad hard no one cares what I am doing anyways as long as the work is done.
