Thank God they decided to have fatalities in the game after all. The game still might fail, but it would fail twice as much without them.

Yes, the fatality is great. I just think it will be a little strange to watch him head shot Superman. (but there's also something really fun about seeing superman being shot to death...in the face)

The Joker looked great, but I don't like how slow Flash moved early on in the video, it just seems wrong to include Flash and not have him be quick.

Mortal Kombat games pretty much suck. The only thing that strikes me as fun about that trailer is how that guy throws his head back as that woman gets shot.

I'm an MK fan, but I'm not even slightly excited about this game. The whole franchise has been stale for years, and a cross-over with super heroes wont help.
What I'd like to see them do is make an MK as a scrolling 2-D beat 'em up like old classics such as Golden Axe and use the 'traditional' 1v1 fights as Boss battles, while throwing in new game modes like 2v2, where all four players are on screen at once and can perform nifty combo moves together.
New characters and better graphics just aren't going to cut it.

Joker fatality was very fitting. Shoot them with a fake gun just to see their reaction, and kill them as an afterthought.

The joker kicks so much ass it almost isn't funny to other crazy people like me.
But MK games are fun to play with a lot of people. Even more-so when intoxicated.

He probably is quick by fighting game standards. But that also usually means he'll hit as hard as a fairy :|
I really can't stand MK mechanics. I was never good at playing that game as other fighters but I hope people enjoy this game as much as I enjoyed Marvel vs Capcom/xmen. That series really overcame away my fondness for Street Fighter fast.

I thought the fatality was pretty amusing.. I haven't played a Mortal Kombat game in a long time that I have enjoyed though.. And I really have a personal dislike of cross universe series.. So I will probably be setting this one out. I hardly play my consoles lately anyways.

As far as fighting games go, Mortal Kombat is probably one of the least balanced and with some of the worst mechanics. While games like Street Fighter and Soul Calibur sold because they were simply good games, Mortal Kombat sold because it was a recognizable name and fatalities.

Am I the only one who thinks it would be more fitting if instead of pulling out a whole new gun he just pulled the trigger again and it shot the boom flag into Katana's head?

Or maybe he could throw her down to the floor, "mount" her and start stabbing her in the face with the "boom" flag stick. He could keep frantically stabbing her until the screen fades out...:)
...I think that would be the greatest fatality ever.
