Im waiting for it, but im also expecting to be disapointed because of two things: Fallout 2 was obviously the best game ever made, how the hell you beat something like that? Second, it looks too much like just another FPS with a Fallout theme, hopefully its more than that.

I agrre teh second one rocked, I used to complete the temple trial then head straight down the SW coast until I hit the outpost, then try and sneak through to the base and obtain my armour straight away ^^

Think I actually finished it once

I just hope the got some of the weird and random stuff like 'The Holy Handgrenade' encounter , the 'Cafe of Broken Dreams' encounter :)

I have seen teh gameplay video from E3 and it looks sweet, esp the mini Nuke launcher you get.
I think they have to advance with the times, The first two were classics of their time, but i think releasing a third in teh same style wuld have killed the game

Hopefully Bethesda lives up to its promise

Now all we need is Fallout MMORPG ;)

no, i didnt mean they should go isometric, that would be a horrible idea. Im fine with first person. What i meant was it looks like they focus too heavily on combat, or at least the videos ive seen do... havent seen much RPG there.

This.

This looks like a nice Post-Apocalyptic TES4 Mod. A sequel to the fucking fantastic Fallout 2 it is not.

I will try it though and expect it to play alot like stalker. Sneaking around shooting at stuff in firstperson mode. NOT what FO/FO2 was about at all.

Lets see if this game can be completed without killing anyone and just using alternative skills like speech, stealth, charisma etc..

Oh and it will probably have unkillable NPCs like oblivion aswell... hah.

Plan on buying it first day.
Then proceed to be pissed off because my computer dosen't meet the requirements. Then it will sit on my shelf gathering dust.

I'll buy it a couple of months after it's released. It will probably have loads of bugs and I don't want to play a buggy Fallout.

I say again: As a game it's probably gonna be very good, but it's gonna fail as a sequel.
Fallout 2 is one of my all time favorite games.

Never played either Fallout (i plan to), but i had very high hopes for a little game called Oblivion. Oblivion didnt meet a single one of those expectations. I really wouldnt expect Fallout 3 to be too spectacular, from the screenshots and dev statements, it all sounds a bit much too like the aforementioned game. If that appeals to you then fine, but Im definitely waiting to hear what people say about it.

I pre-ordered the collectors edition for the artbook and BADASS bobble head mainly and my hope they release a SDK for the game so it can be fixed.

Beyond that I might enjoy a good FPS, cause Fallout 3 won't be a RPG.

I've been looking forward to it for years.... But I won't be playing it in FP mode.

I am looking forward to Fallout 3 - I played Fallout 1 and liked it, I played Fallout 2 and liked that even more. Some people are already getting ready to be disappointed, but not I. - The thing is, I am only asking myself one question: "Will it be worth the price?", and I am confident it will. Whether it will be "worthy" of the Fallout name, or some such thing, is not a question I can be bothered to ponder. I have no particular attachment to the name, I certainly don't own it, and I don't feel that Fallout 3 in some retroactive way or form, could make the experience of playing the preceding games less enjoyable.

I Loved the other Fall outs! I only hope they didn't skip out on the RPG elements like everyone seems to feel they are.

Fallout 3 could be reality with the amount of conflict going on around the world.

Fallout 1, 2, and Tactics all kicked ass. Awesome soundtracks and great dark humor and grittiness. Fallout 3 will undoubtley(word?) not rank up with the rest, o well. I just hope the game makes me laugh and makes me cringe at times like 1 and 2 and tactics did.

And on comes the Tactics hate because the game was too hard..... ?

Lol, I didn't much care for tactics...it tried to be like x-com, but only the combat which leaves me...wishing for more.

Fallout 3 has already disappointed me, but lets just hope it's not a total flop like the console-centric brotherhood of steel. I'm telling you guys, consoles are killing our PC games.
