Darkfall Forums > Fable 2 Forums.
Just wondering how many people have pre-ordered/plan on getting Fable 2, and what kind of character they plan to play.
Personally, I've pre-ordered, gotten quite the sum of cash in the Pub Games, and I plan to somewhat roleplay a chaotic-neutral magic gunslinger. I'm trying to win all the Tourneys. :)
Oh, my Xbox Live GT: SyNaStrG

I'll play the pc version (assuming there will be one).
On the first fable, I played through the entire game and expansion with a good alignment character and then got too bored to restart with a bad one, which probably was way cooler...damn.

It really wasn't that great. There was only maybe 10 evil things you could do, not nearly enough to justify putting in the time, imo. But there were a couple that made it almost worth it, like: Getting to slaughter the guildmaster, in hilarious and glorious fashion. Oh, and using rage to decapitate people was cool.
As for Fable 2, I'm definitely looking forward to it, but only on PC. :(

Good, didn't miss much then. Now that you mentioned the guildmaster, it reminded me of something I always found a little odd about the lore/story of the game. The completely absence of ideology in the heroes guild nature. It was like "We create the greatest heroes AND the greatest villains of our world, isn't it great!?"

The first one was a piece of overrated shit, but I heard this one has a big open world and more customisation. Not really looking forward to it, but I'll check it out eventually.

I plan on just playing it and then seeing what happens, also bonking lots of women and having a ton of kids...then chopping them all up..or maybe just chop her up when she tells me she is pregnant...
Maybe kill stuff, but generally be a right sicko and see if i can break the game

Fable 1 was waaaaaaaaaaaaay overrated. I hope 2-nd part is better.

It really was. One of my friends is so amazingly excited about Fable 2, because of how "great" the first one was. He gets pretty angry when I start suggesting it wasn't that great.
Honestly, that fact alone makes the game one of the greats. A few months until it comes out over here, with me not even having to try to make him so angry it looks like he is going to explode.

i actually just finished fable yesterday. yeah, first time.
i gotta say, it wasnt that bad. but it was overrated i guess. the biggest thing that pissed me off was that you dont get to roam around with the 'great sword' or whatever its called. so that was pretty gay i must say. other than that, the game is worth 60 bucks.

you can roam around with it, you do the evil thing at the end and then sit through the credits and you can take it anywhere

Damn, you really should've got the PC version 'Fable: The Lost Chapters', much better imo.

I will play the game if the alignment system is better than the one the 1st used.

Fable was too easy, that was my main complaint. But going berserk in town was amusing though!
I guess Fable was ok. I thought the loading between areas really sucked though, destroys the feeling of a big breathing world.

Fable COULD be easy, but you could also challenge yourself if you decided to take on a ton of enemies at one time.
Or you could just see how high you could get your multiplier. I remember that cave with the little fat short monster things. I used to just go in there again and again trying to get super high multipliers.
Anyways, Fable two is fairly old now. Yet it still has amazing graphics and a unique concept. I imagine Fable 2 will be fucking awesome.

Fable was alright (overrated), Fable2 will be...interesting.
Cons so far.
1. You have to have a dog, this could be good or bad depending how you look at it.
2. Fighting is not a good source of income, to earn any substantial amount of money you have to have a job.
3.The story line is 1/2 as long, but there are 4 of them. I'm not sure if they are job (as in gunslinger ect...) or alignment based.
Pros so far.
1. More options. In probably everything.
2. Sweet multi player.
3. If you want you could just go all-out Sim. Job/house/wife/whatever.
I wont be buying it anytime soon.

To pull the sword from the stone, you need maxed out physical and skill I think. :o
I thought Fable 2's story was meant to be about as long as Oblivion's...
Maybe I'm mistaken, but it seems as if there's alot of things to do in your spare time for the roleplaying gamer like Molyneux and myself. I play RPGs for a reason, to RP while Gaming. If I wanna be a badass, I'll play a FPS or something. :x
