One thing undisputably improves MMO gameplay, and that's being half-drunk.

I can't count the times I'd get home from school/work to join up a Shadowbane rolling group, and holler for everyone to wait while I sprinted down the street to grab a six-pack before the local grocery closed.

Same for Eve... you couldn't join in with IAC's (Interstellar Alcohol Conglomerate's) cheap frigate drunkfights unless you were at least a little ways in.

So in the spirit of drinking (and brewing, if you're so inclined) great beer: what's everyone's favorite PvP tipple?

For me, right now it's Abita's Andygator (http://abita.com/brew/andygator.html), as strong a barleywine as you could want to wash down a pizza. I stopped in at the brewery a couple days ago and got an unpasteurized half-gallon growler of the stuff... goddamn is it good

Primarily, I like to play with some Newcastle alongside me. Can't always afford it, though.

As for the beer, me and some friends usally get together, drink Tuborg Snowbeer, and play dota once a year, so that would be the only specific beer I have regarding gaming.

You'd be surprised by how well you can entertain yourself while drinking solo. My home furnishings usually improve by several steps and my dog is more easily anthropomorphized

Zillertal beer is my all time favorite. Just about impossible to get in Canada though. I still have 2 bottles from my last trip to Austria, they are waiting for Darkfall.

I never got into Eve, but a buddy was a complete freak over that game. His guild had a pretty awesome recruiting video, where they have a Vent recording of him mumbling incoherently.

I usually don't game when drunk though. At least, not video games.

I used to just go at grey goose, bushmills, or midleton from the bottle. Occasionaly toss some coke or sprite in to liven things up.

I'm currently on a sabbatical from alcohol.

Young's Oatmeal Stout hands down. From the Ram Brewery in London.

If you have never tried it and you like great Dark beer. It ain't cheap and worth every penny.

what i was in uni my friends and i sometimes got pissed and played games before we went out. normally vodka with coke or any kind of beer (uni students, we didint care what we drank as long as we got pissed) was the norm.

flaming anyone we saw, killing, drinking more. ah, wonderful.

i kinda miss uni..
