That does look a lot better... if it's real.
Armed Assault was ass though. Awful.

It certainly looks good, but will it play good? I have to say though it is nice to see a good open sandboxish FPS being developed by someone other than EA, I just hope they support multiplayer for a long time then I might consider getting it, I miss Battlefield 2 ( yeah I know they have servers up still but it's seriously laggy and dominated by elitist clan assholes).
I hope vehicles have damage models instead of hitpoints.

Viranth might chime in on this one,
we use to play OFP together back in the day.
I am looking forward to Arma 2, OFP 2 is its major competition though, I doubt it will be as versatile.
basically the progression of the games goes like this...
operation flashpoint - VBS1- Arma - Arma2
now VBS1, is the military training version of OFP, it is used in many militarys and police around the world, including the united states marines.
Arma is considered to be OFP 1.5, basically its an updated version of OFP with a few basic elements of VBS1 put in.
from what I can see from the forums, ARMA 2 will have much more stuff from the military use simulation version put into it, like fireing from different areas in vehicles with your rifle, etc.

btw here is a player made arma 2 vid, theres no videos released for the game, just screenshots, but this video gets me going because this was one of the original songs from the original OFP, I use to put this music in the missions I made all the time.

I bought my Operation Flashpoint in some GOTY edition, and I remember that the red and third CD could be put in a stereo and you could listen to some of the music on it!
