Is Beta really happening right now?

I ask this question because I find it interesting that they have a posting for Lead Quality Assurance Manager on their website.

From the job description this is the person that manages the Beta process.

Don't get me wrong, I bet they're doing some testing, I just wonder how extensive. Also, its quite possible that this job posting in old and they have filled the position (if so, we are watching and scrutinizing everything you do, so take it down :D).

Only Internal beta is going on.

The first beta applications were in late 2001. But those people only played shortly.

Atm there's no real beta going on as we are used to.

Additionally, I wouldn't be surprised if the Long Time Followers actually got beta invites. I don't see any other reason for those tags apart from beta slots.

I don't think that only the long term followers should get in. I have some experience in beta testing (WotLK, and what is now the GPS on blackberrys).

I can tell whether a game is going to suck within about 10 seconds after the main loading screen I should be in beta because of my ub3r skills, but no really I am actually quite good at looking at game mechanics etc. that's why I think over all the over glorified half-life 2 engine actually rather sucks.

Darkfall is currently in closed internal testing, using paid, professional testers employed and contracted by Aventurine. There is no public beta testing using members of the community right now.
