looting rules?

what stops someone from jacking someone elses loot?

like obviously if you kill someone and go to pick up the loot and someone else runs up and grabs it you can just kill them for trying to steal your loot but if they are the same race then your gunna take an alignment hit for that...

hopefully loot can only be looted from the person who made the kill for the first 20 secs

also if two people are fighting someone or something then they can make it so if the first person to attack does at least 40% of the damage then they get to loot but if the second person to attack does atleast 61% of the damage it counts as their loot........

what do u guys think?will there be a problem with looting? obviously its only speculation at this point but it is a concern with free looting

Whoever gets to looting first...loots first. If you have a problem with that, kill the guy. One death isn't a big deal with your alignment.

Since Darkfall is alot like Ultima Online, I assume they will have similar systems.

In UO if someone looted a corpse that didnt belong to them, they turned grey and you could kill them without an alignment hit.

I have faith DF will have something close to that.

I all so think it may be similar to this. The people are still free to loot what ever they want but if they jack your stuff you can kill them with out worries.

Flags or no flags, it makes no difference to me. There are quotes out there on the subject however, they aren't completely concrete on whether or not there will be flagging due to looting.

I get the sense that there will not be but it isn't like it makes much of a difference either way.
