Gaming for me has been stale, I like sci-fi games, but will do with fantasy games as well though really if you can find sci-fi that would be appreciated, I'm sort of sick of the elves, dwarves crap.
Thank you guys in advance and hope to see some good games, which would probably be lesser known titles.

No JRPG's, No Turn Based Strategy Games, anime, nothing before 1999 no MMO's
Looking for
preferably Sci-fi or alternate/history type settings.
recommend one for each

Games I've already played so don't recommend these.
Oblivion
Doom 3
Quake(s)
Morrowind
S.T.A.L.K.E.R
Sins of a Solar Empire
Mass Effect
EvE
Tabula Rasa
Lost Planet(ugh)
Half-Life 2
Portal
Team Fortress Two

Hellgate london is a pretty good online shooter with rpg elements, and its set in the future killing hordes of demons.

It is currently pretty cheap and worth it. It had a buggy launch but its alot better now.

Fallout 2 is too epic to miss. Its 1998, but this is where you should bend your rules a bit.

Fallout 2 I guess I could check it out
Age of Empire 2 I use to play, but I'm looking for a singleplayer and I've already played it lol I have tried a few games but yeah I enjoyed it, I didn't like the third one though :(
I have difficult taste in games at one hand I enjoy good graphics and most things pre 1997-8 are almost unplayable, though I managed a few games such as baldur's gate those kinds of games are bareable. But yet anything with great graphics tends to be utter shit because they spent all of the money on the art department. :(

Fallout has old graphics and turn based combat. But it is the best sci fi rpg ever made. It is actually the best rpg ever made. Its open ended and has some of the best characters of all time. If you have never tried it you have missed out

Well RTS I like warlords battlecry but its also a old one as most likely an aquired taste. Otherwise as I said Hellgate: london its a fps/rpg, otherwise theres always fear which is also quite nice.

Hellgate is an MMO I thought :(, F.E.A.R I'll definitely look into.
I'll check out Warlords Battlecry

It isnt really an mmo but it does have some mmo elements and its best played online. But you can go trough the game without ever teaming up with anyone.

Remember warlords battlecry is an aquired taste. I just really like all the different playstyles it has. Theres hundreds of ways to play that game.

If you want a sci-fi FPS then definitely get Deus Ex (the first one, not invisible war). I've recommended it before here but it's one of the few games I'd call a masterpiece.

X3 Reunion. Great scifi game. It is a lot like a singleplayer eve with a first person shooter in mind.

i really enjoyed Assassins Creed and its got futuristic stuff tied into it and will be a trilogy i think they said. Rainbow six vegas two also is pretty fun but for complete epicness for me it was the creed. Dont have much cause i like swords rather than guns.

Opens the "what I done with my life" text file.

Browsing al PC FPS/RTS/RPG games.

Alright lets see, with the above in mind:

Better RTS games since 1999:

1. Earth 2160 (sci-fi setting on mars)
2. Supreme Commander
3. Settlers empires (not something for everyone)
4. Dawn of War.
5. Company of heroes.

Better FPS games since 1999:

1. BF2
2. Sin 2 (it's only singleplayer but I liked it)
3. Crysis
4. Call of duty 2 (again, great campaign, a bit to linear and repitive)
5. Red Faction 2 (cause destroying shit is fun, although its even more limited then the first game >: (but the new one in making, omg!))

Better RPG games since 1999:

1. NWN 1-2 (prety much the same, graphics is alot better ofcourse)
2. The Witcher
3. Freelancer? I have no idea how old it is, but its great regardless.

Other:
1. Psychonauts! (Damn I'm happy I took mr yatzee's recomendation on this one)
2. Mount & Blade

That should keep you going for a while at least.

you answered it perfectly. I'll take everyone's recommendations into considerations. Though I've played NWN 2 sort of sick of the elf gnome dwarf, save the world crap because evil sorcerer/necromancer/cliche is going to rule!
Heard good things about
Red Faction 2
COD2
crysis...not on this computer :(
not an above average gaming machine. Just average.
Sin 2? never heard of it before.
Psychonauts what a lot of fun.

thanks for the help.

Get C&C 3 and dont install any patches.

They screw up the otherwise good campaign.
