Savage 2 for 10$ on steam this weekend.

So basically, I want to know if people here play and if it is worth buying, 10 dollars isnt alot, so is it worth it ?

Unfortunately, too much relies on having a good commander, and there aren't enough people playing it.

It is an hybrid between an RTS and a 3rd person Hack and Slash.

One player is the commander, he builds shit and moves troops. Other players are some kind of "hero" units that do things like in the video.

Oh and If anyone wonder, I bought it, for 10$ it can't be a loss.

Get the original (Savage 1), it's free. There's still a pretty hardcore following on it.

This... Theres still more people playing S1 then S2 I believe, and S1 is far superior for the melee action (and guess what, the game is all about the melee action....)

Either get S1 because it rapes S2, or try S1 to get an idea of what S2 will be like.... Be warned but, S1 takes abit of 'getting use to', not an entirely noob-friendly game because it takes teh skills!

It can get old. But it's fun to play a game every now and then. I've permanently contracted it in my anti-boredom brigade.

That's not to say that there aren't some great skillz moments if you're in the mood, it just depends. The other plus side is that the (legal, tyvm mods) torrent download on it is really fast.

Well the weekend deal is not because it sucks, Valve made the same thing last week for Bioshock, it was 15$. And now that there are more people we can expect that the game will grow.

The original is the best one. Savage 2 is a bastardization of it. Save your money, and download the original for free.

I don't know, I know S.T.A.L.K.E.R is like 20 and it is supposed to be lots of fun tough. I got it but I am waiting for my new comp to be repaired to actually play.

Savage 1 was an awesome game. I read a huge preview on 2 a few months back and it sounded ten times better than the first.

Imho, Savage 2 is definitely worth the 10 bucks. Besides, if it sucks it was only 10 dollars (compared to outrageous 50 dollar games)
