US has the best athletes period. We will destroy. Steamroll.

I'm excited to watch 48 minutes of highlights every game.

Just like we did four years ago, am I right?

I really enjoyed watching the cocky fucks get their asses handed to them last time and look forward to more of the same.

Put all those egos in one team, and you're bound to fail.

This team has been training together for the last three summers which is drastically different than the 2004 team.

They can be cocky because they are the best athletically and skill wise in the world. When you're the best you can talk. We did lose one game, and it was the first game we've lost since we started using professional athletes. Everyone took that opportunity to talk shit. The fact of the matter is that even the best players in the world have an off night once in awhile. Also fact--the US team will have to play their worst basketball and any other team will have to play their best basketball to beat them (by a narrow margin).

Funny how we lost 2 games in the 2004 Olympics. After placing 6th in the 2002 FIBA. I do love your degree of pretentious ignorance though.

I bow to the greatness that is your e-peen.

You're right we lost to Puerto Rico too and apparently (espn) went 3/24 from three. 12.5% from three is what it will take for us to lose.

I love watching this team play. I think they're gonna win it, but Spain is gonna be tough.

Watch the Road to Redemption stuff on nba.com if you want some good behind the scenes footage.

The US-team has been unable to hit a jump shot for about 3 tournaments now. 12.5% is hardly their worst, more like average.

Apart from general ego-issues: This team is horribly undersized, 3 point guards and only 1 center? You do know that most international teams start with 2 centers?
