In late June 2008, Voyager changed their estimate for the publication of the UK edition of the novel to 6 April 2009.
It was gonna come out in late september :(

I read wizard's first rule and thought it was shitty. Although the dominatrix antagonist was kinda funny.
Not my style though, the main guy is such an annoying paladin, and it felt like a chore to read imo.It is clearly Vaporware! :(

Yeah well... those series is actually pretty crap. no real character development, after 11 books some characters are exactly the same. and others are changed from annoying preaching idiot to more annoying preaching idiot, with one character changing from an independant woman, to a kitchenmaid asskisser.
besides the lousy plots its filled with his rediculous propaganda about his life philosophy, which doesn't even contain logic.
And Damn you George... I have it written in my bloody feast of crows copy that a dance of dragons should be out a year later!... its been what now?:(
But you still wasted time reading 11 books...

Yeah :p but then again, to tell if a book/series really sucks you need to have read it :P
after book 7 i looked at my closet and thought it looked stupid so kept collecting them >.< and they turned more shittier by the book... besides i like the first 6, till i grew up and started reading better stuff, and saw it as the piece of junk they were.

I already read the sword of Truth, except for the last one, I haven't been bothered to go and buy the damn thing. The best thing in the whole series is when Kahlan disappears, it's hard to find a more annoying bitch. Richard has also gotten damn annoying, he can't open his mouth without spouting a 20 pages speech about the value of reason, free will and making all the cash you can and not share it with anyone.

The Malazan Tale of the Fallen series is by far my favorite set of books. I'm planning on picking up the latest this coming weekend. :)
For a long time I kept it tied w/ A Song of Ice and Fire on my list, but they are just so fucking good its became my favorite series by far.

recently found this book to be good: First to Fight - Starfist book 1 by David Sherman and Dan Cragg.
its about space marines with energy weapons and force fields =]
