Does anyone else around here listen to artists like Aesop Rock, Slug, Atmosphere, Sole, Sage Francis, Deltron 3030, Brother ali and so on? If so vote for your fav, if I don't list yours put your vote as other and post your fav in the thread. Please don't talk about trash like 50 cent though.

Sorry about that, I couldn't resist. :)
Anyway. Kudos to the underground (real) hip-hop. Not a fan of it but the standard shit you hear the wiggas around here (50-cent, Eminem and such) sucks so much balls my testicles are shrinking.

Why did you use "Slug" and "Atmosphere" as options? Slug basically is Atmosphere and he hasn't done much outside of that.

K'naan (I don't listen to the radio, so I don't know if he's still 'underground') and Northern State (which is indie rap, so I'm also not sure whether or not to call it underground).

I picked Deltron, but I don't think I could limit my favorite artist down to one.
Most of the shit I listen to is from late 80's to mid 90's and some underground stuff from today. A lot of De la soul, wu-tang, the tribe, MF DOOM, Dilla, Dead Prez, etc etc.

All are nice to listen to. Ragnika's list is pretty good, I'll throw in Non Phixion, and Sage.
Why you put Deltron 3030...dude has too many names. Shoulda just gone with "Del". I like all the shit that hes is involved with, Deltron, Hiero, etc..Although his newest album kinda blows, his old stuff more than makes up for it.
old c.v.e & project blowed stuff

Never fucking heard of any of these people.
Reed Dollaz is a good freestyle rapper, add him to the list.
And immortal technique went to fucking college Viluin, how is he gonna be a thug? He's just a socialist batshit insane conspiracy theorist.

You guys really listen to the worst pop hip hop I've ever heard.
EDIT:
Take your favourite rapper or w/e and listen to a song/freestyle without a beat. If you still like him he should go on your list, but most of the shit you people listen to just sounds good because of the poppy beat they've added.

pop hip hop? Underground hip hop is a lot more music then rap and normal hip hop is. But go on and listen to your souljaboy and 50 cent.

Ya, just listen to Viluin. His Immortal Technique is alot better than any shit I listen to, what with Tech being such a hard revolutionary gangster. Didn't he go to uni, read about Che Gueverra and the global socialist revolution, decided to hit a kid because he was white and then he did some jail time? Sounds like your average retard college kid except Technique is BLACK AND LATINO OMG!
The only reason Immortal Technique isn't a studio gangster is because he can't afford studio time.
Bitch when the fuck did I say I listen to 50 cent? But the people you listen to are just as much studio gangstaz as 50.
So why don't you give me some proper advise? I'm always open for better music.
Maybe Immortal Technique isn't my favourite, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't end up on a list of good underground hip hop'ers. To be fair you talk about hearing an MC with no beat freestyling - hip hop is as much as the beat as it is the lyrics and the way it is performed.
You guys should chek out this mixtape from toones

I digg most of them on those tracks, maylay, mc ren, king t, wc and of course eazy, nwa, CPO and maybe some Run DMC from time to time

Yes I did - I don't know exactly where I got it from but I think it was from some random artwork at Deviant art.

My favorite hip-hop artists don't even rap under the aliases I mentioned, they mostly make instrumentals.
If you want to hear someone with a good flow, here's a few I'd probably recommend you:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebVnIBpGLuc
Tonedeff has a very fast and changing flow, which keeps you interested through the track.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LkjwJKE60VU
Jurassic 5 rappers might not have the craziest speeds or so, but their flow is definitely very solid and always exactly on the tempo.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HpP-8tJ-9Js
Busdriver has a really original flow, which he changes always depending on the beat and other factors.
