Darkfall RP community

Hi, if some of you wants to buid a RP community for darkfall, I'm interrested to host it on my fansite.

In the past we've tried setting one of these up, I modded for it. While in the beggining we had about 60 members, it just never really took off, there were only about 3 active members and it died off within the first couple months. But if you want to try again than by all means go for it.

We've got a project going atm and there's nothing out there to point to, but its still alive and kicking. We're trying to figure out what scope and scale we want it to be.

So far the idea is to have forums that are OOC and a wiki that is done in character as a sort of collection of writings. We also want to present the world description from each of the races' perspective.

The hosting and all that is there as well as a domain name. Just waiting for a few more blocks to fall into place before we make anything more public.

I see, good luck with your project, when the beta released in a couple of months, a lot of player will join your community, I'm sure. :)

But for now, if someone is interrested to join us, I've start a setion for storys, books and memories about DFO on our forums.

I think an RP communal forum could work, as long as people remember that it's there.

I think RP clans(with their respective sites for internal affairs) with the RP boards as a meeting ground work just as well as an RP site?

And on the topic of an Rp server: we're not getting it, and that's good! An RP tag would bring in the worst of the worst who want to "p4w|\| d3|\/| RP f4gs, lawl".

Happened in other games, will happen here.

Unofficially calling dibs on a server works best imo.

Probably true and it's a great shame.

The solution for that is for being able to play on the RP server you have to be accepted by the RP community by voting. But that's not going to happen I know.

and it should never happen. I'd rather have leet pvpers griefing once in a while, then a server completely bread on elitism, cliques and close mindedness.

Basically how Blizzard solved it was simply by creating Goldshire (WoWplayers know what I mean.) What Aventurine can do is smack up a village outside every starting area and they gather up there instantly.
