In the history of Agon as created by developer Razorwax, there was once a mighty civilization called Chaldea.

Looks like they listened to everyones plea for non-human areas. These shots are from the Ork kindgom and they look badass in my opinion.

Two of the links would not load the larger images for me, but by typing a direct link to them, they worked. So, below are the direct links incase any of you have the same problems. As always there's a short blurb of information on the main link and I recommend checking that out, even if you use the direct links. And, thanks to IGN for having 3/5 of the links working this week.

I am particularly fond of the statue head laying in the ground.

Some observations. On the first screenshot, entitled Colums, if you look at the very upper right corner, you can see what looks like a large overhang, protruding out of the side of the mountain. It's either that or the corner of the Mahirim mothership that's hiding behind the mountain.

On the second screenshot, entitled Fallen Statue, take a very close look at the mountain top. You can see a small dot that looks like no other part of the mountain. I'm wondering if this may have been a player model that the developers included, to give us an idea of the scale. On a second thought, it could just be a dot.

In the last screenshot, you can see quit a bit of the land. It may just be that particular area, but I think it may be giving us a peek into what the Ork area is going to feel like; dead trees, alot more dirt than grass, many rocks and small hills and so on. Then again, that may be heading toward the Human land for all we know.

Other than that, the trees and the overall environment looks very nice. There's also a little bit of smaller vegetation here and there on the ground, something that was lacking in the unfinished areas shown in previous peeks. The area itself looks like a great place for some small scale PVP. There's plenty of stuff to hide behind and the mountain being there allows people to ambush by travelling over or around it, not to mention any caves, underground tunnels, or dungeons in the area.

Anyway, I think I like this week's shots the best so far. This is also the second mention of "dungeons" since week #8, I hope that we get to see a few shots from those dungeons, soon.

Yes, very nice pics this week!!

I saw the spot too that you mentioned Gowel, and had the same questions pop up in my mind. I thought it could be a dead tree or something high up on the mountain, but whatever it is, it could show the measure of the higth of the mountain......if only we knew what it is.... :)

Imo the over hang Gowel is talking about in the Columns picture looks more like the rock from the Lion King

Haha, spectacular! That new rendering pass the team just began is really fleshing out the world with a beautiful detail. I can't wait to PvP in these environments.

It's incredible that Darkfall could have a visual turnaround like this in what seems like the space of a few weeks. If we can get just a bit more detail in the character models, perhaps new shader effects or something, to make the textures look a little less flat, everyone will have to agree that Darkfall is both great looking AND the best mmorpg concept out there.

I'd like to see what fire looks like in this game. Also, smoke is one thing I'd like to see that virtually no other game has ever implemented correctly. In other games, smoke is always too transparent, and then disperses immediately about 6 feet above the burning source. It looks really stupid, seeing a thick, dense pillar of smoke cutting off abruptly in the air. I'd like to see tall columns of smoke that blow with the wind. Also if you guys could somehow program the smoke to be limited by the constraints of the world around you, so that it will build up if in an enclosed room. You could smoke people out of caves and create big smokescreens!

The best scenery pictures I have yet to see. The devs did a great job with the surrounding vegitation. The trees give the sense of an ancient, and almost uncanny atmosphere.

Great job.

this is looking better then before: trees are looking really detailed, not like before, and the ground is also starting to look better, more detailed. good job

Cool stuff. I like it.

I'm a little leary of fighting over dungeons, though...

Dungeons don't strike me as a "resource."

Wow, compare these pics to the last few they show and youd think its a completely different game. More importantly though is how nice "areas of interest" are going to look.

The devs are on a good track with what they decide to show us in these weekly updates good job guys.

These are the best shots by far! Very encouraging and it will only get better from here!

gowel, if you go to the tread 'mystery stump' on these boards, you can see that the stump on top off the mountain looks a lot like some kind off hillgiant, cus they have enlarged the little stump -_-

These defenatly are the best screenies so far. I like the first the most, the last two are a bit dark in my oppinion.
As most of you I can't wait to see some dungeons...

What baffles me about all your screen shots is not that they are good, which they are, it is that the view distance is incredibly far. I can see little trees standing on the horizon in a few of those pics... that is just cool. I wonder if graphics settings that good will be extremely intense on my crappy cpu?

Lookin good...@Dorundain dungeons/good farming spots are very valuable resources to be fought over ie Lizzies on SB, or Shame in the very begininning of Seige in UO.

Those ruins really reminds me of the mayan or aztec buildings, I can`t wait to explore
all of those nice looking areas. The screenshots are looking better and better, as there
was said a bit more character detail and you`re there.
