Just watched it and hands down it has to be the best movie I've seen this year. It was brilliant, action sequences were spot on, and the plot was amazing. Just as you think its going to end it keeps going. What really made the movie though was Heath Ledger. He played the joker to perfection. I never imagined he would bring that character so much to life.

For fans of the gotham world it's an amazing treat, and for the rest it's an incredibly entertaining movie. i cant wait to watch it again.

i watched it in the cinema. but what u asked for goes for me too. like i said, this ones a keeper. however, i doubt there would be a reliable source other than the cinema at this time..

The only thing I dislike about the Joker in Batman : TDK is that the Jokers make-up doesn't look like in the series. :(

ok maybe if u despise batman u might not like it.. but i'd think even a mild interest in the batman character would warrant a viewing. even my gf (i love her even more for getting me tickets) said that it was excellent. and she wasnt interested in watching iron man or the hulk.

Well yea, they're going for a gritty, dark, more realistic look this time around. Not cartoony.

Yup as xzi said the dark gritty look really works. im a fan of the comics and i think the makeup was excellent. sure they took some liberties with the story a little (i wont give away any spoilers) but nothing that detracts from making it an excellent movie.

and for those that asked im in malaysia right now. im guessing movies get released here asap due to rampant piracy.

Clearly you haven't seen Batman Begins, it's nothing like the old ones. 'Tis da badassness. And Christian Bale = your pimp.

Lolz.

The old ones had a dark comedy feel to them, completely fantasy-based type thing. Batman Begins was the first in this "new series" of Batman movies, where they went for a realistic look and feel. All of Batman's gadgets/vehicles/etc are supplied by the militaristic division of Bruce Wayne's company and whatnot. It's actually somewhat believable this time around. Not to mention they got a good cast of actors fit for the more serious setting. It's kind of a rebirth of Batman. As the title implies, Batman Begins starts before Bruce Wayne has even had the training he uses as Batman.

The Dark Knight is the second in this series. Now go rent Batman Begins and watch it. This second, dammit.

Each joker was different, and good in its own right (except the live action series)

Last movie I caught in the theater was Batman Begins, so I might as well follow that up with The Dark Knight.
