Kinda annoys me that I'll have to buy four of these for the controllers I already own, but once we get a 1:1 lightsaber game...*drool*

Meh they have as much going for them as any other console. I'd know since I own all three. :P

Wii sucks for anyone that has played more then 10 games in their lives,

I have Wii, 360 and Ps3, the only time I play Wii is with my girlfriend or my little sister, it isn't that the games sucks, it's that the wii remote sucks.. sure I can point it at the screen and do other pointless shit, but try hooking it up to a Guitar Hero guitar and you will notice how truely delayed and shitty the wii remote is for real games.

I personally don't have any problems with GH3 on the Wii. Nor do I notice any difference between it and the 360 version. Maybe you forgot to configure your HD lag on the TV under options?

I wish they did something for the IR sensor. It's pretty much impossible to actually aim with it. If I go to the calibration I'll notice that instead of 2 white dots indicating my control, I'll have 20 all over the screen. I sold that piece of shit and bought a 360 instead.

They need to go back to the old light guns or something as well, because that stupid crossbow gun thing is crap. You can configure it all you want, but you've still got to cater for the posistion of the IR strip, distance to it and size of your TV. If you actually aim for the targets in Links Crossbow training like it's a decent arcade game with a light gun you dont hit shit.

The wii is just what I like in console gaming. It is great for gatherings and family fun.
Tiger Woods
Guitar Hero
Wii Sports Bowling
Smash Bros
Mario Kart

Those are my favorites.

Never experienced any problems with the controller either. Maybe it just works well with my setup.

I would love to see nintendo come out with a more advanced wii that would be capable of MMORPG gameplay.

Looks like fun. They should make Red Steel 2 with this... and then not rush the release so they fix all the crappy bugs.

Odd, playing Metroid Prime 3, I never had any trouble aiming, even when I enabled the "advanced" aiming features (where basically your crosshair can go wherever, even if you're locked on). And lockon in Metroid Prime 3 doesn't constitute "your crosshair is automatically on the target", it basically keeps it in the general vicinity of the target, so that if they move a large distance, you don't really have to compensate for that. With the advanced aiming it doesn't even do that.

Anyway, I will agree that the Wii really doesn't have a massive selection of good games. I play SSBB regularly (I almost couldn't go back to SSBM if I tried, heh), played a lot of Super Mario Galaxy (I got tired of it before finishing but I had well more than enough stars to go to the last level), and played a lot of Metroid Prime 3 (I finished with over 90% completion on Normal), and have of course played some Wii Sports (mostly tennis).

As for games I haven't played, I would like to play Twilight Princess, but that is the only current Wii game that I would like to play but haven't played. I will probably play the new Crystal Chronicles Wii game, and will definitely play the new Tales of Symphonia game that I just discovered on gamespot, but I know of no other Wii games that I'm looking forward to.

Nor am I a 360 or PS3 fanboi, as I own neither.

Yeah but its a shitty half assed PS2 port I'm sure. I remember reading about it and saying "well thats a cop out" but I don't know the exact details. In other news, there's rumor of a Wii lightsaber game, specifically a lightsaber game. Not a port. It was in the news with all those leaks when LucasArts employees got laid off. Unfortunately it was in the news because one of the angry employees said that it might be in trouble due to lack of developers after the layoffs.

Probably a random missile expansion that you have to double bomb jump to get to. When I beat the game I just looked up the 100% ending on youtube, it's nothing fancy. Samus takes off her suit (looking like the default ZSS costume in SSBB) and looks at the sunset, and that's about it. Sad thing about upgrades in Metroid Prime 3 is that you don't use them really. Even by comparison with Metroid Prime 1, it's just not useful to have that many missiles on hand. I imagine it's the same even on Hypermode.

Speaking of which...I'd like to play that sometime, supposedly it's hard as hell. People die in random encounters and stuff like that. Apparently you actually use hypermode outside of boss battles as well, just to not die (partially because it lets you tank pretty much infinite damage while it lasts, which in on Hypermode will often vastly exceed 100 damage).

Though it has no relation to this thread at all, I'd also like to play Metroid Prime 2 and Hunters; I only ever played 1 and 3.

Its a shame that they didn't do this IN THE FIRST PLACE.

But I suppose money IS money, therefore getting you to pay umpteen quid for a the controller all over again, is a viable buisness strategy.

Seems like it's more likely that they didn't want to push back the release over a feature like this. Granted, if they charge more than like $15 it's milking it, but still.

This is what I should've got when I bought my Wii and they made it seem like I would have complete control over my sword in a weapon game but no just waggling bull crap, seeing what they did last time this all probably just seems and sounds more deep and responsive than it actually is.

I already said this was going to happen in the E3 thread yesterday. They are adding the gyro attachment.
