Some news for the people who are interested. Now you can steal your friends' copy and get some Bioshock into you.
Brilliant game, amoungst all the shitty games of today, this one really stands tall. A must play.

Don't really understand the point of the limited installs..
Not going to go into detail...but I rarely pay for any of my games...and the limited install doesn't hinder me at all from putting it on 50 PC's.

On a side note, any game that I can choke and kill little girls in is A+ material in my eyes.

If you like it you should also try System Shock 2. Really old, but still great.

I just obtained Bioshock. I really like the game. It has a damn cool story and really creates a great atmosphere.

One of my friends was recently complaining that he couldn't get into Bioshock because of a lack of a story. I didn't know whether to hit him or just forever stop talking to him.

If you look at any most scary games top10, System Shock 2 will probably be on it.

You would think they'd learn that any anti-piracy bullshit will be bypassed by crackers. In the end all it did was hurt the people who legitimately bought it.

I was really hoping Bioshock would have co-op like System Shock 2 so I could play with my girlfriend. I'm pretty sure she wouldn't be able to stand SS2's antiquated graphics.

Bioshock was scary in the beginning. The opening scene is pretty freaky when a splicer is trying to tear into your submarine and you have literally no weapon and no way to get out. There's also a few scenes in the beginning where the lights will simply turn off on you (scary as hell to me). Throughout the game, however, you get used to the atmosphere and the enemies and learn to predict what might happen. One thing the game does well is force the player to be constantly aware of his surroundings because there is no neutral or safe ground to "relax" at.
Oh and I looked up some "scary" game scenes from games like Thief 3 and Vampire: Masquerades and I don't think there's any way I could have completed those chapters unless I was playing them during the day with music in the background lol.

The game was good, but it was definetly way overhyped. It didn't deliver as good as it could have.

Well, if he's bad at finding the recorders, there really isn't much story. They are the things that tells the story more or less.

SYS 2 co-op was buggy and frequently crashed, but really fun.
