Star Trek: The Next Generation...nothing beats it imo, sci-fi or any other genre...TNG is the best television series of all time.

Stargate SG-1 is number two on my list...also an amazing show.


I've watched plenty of other shows and liked many, but none come close (imo) to comparing to the above two, so I won't mention them.


I did like Firefly a lot and it's unfortunate it didn't go longer. It had great potential. However, I think it's overrated and I don't feel it deserves to make it on a "best television series" list based on so few episodes. Nor were all its few episodes by any means perfect...it had some stupid, cheesy episodes just like any other show.

Babylon 5. One of the few series that really had a great story with beginning and ending. I hate series where they drag the main story as long as it makes money, so the story never goes anywhere, and usually when it stops making money, they leave it without an ending.
