This is seriously random. I'm really not into the underground drum solo club but I doubt anyone here is or even cares.

He isn't rotating up-beats or using any special dynamics, but any solo live performance means your band at least thinks you are good enough to represent them and not crack in the spotlight. Also, he is a solid drummer. Which is better than a one trick wonder.

I'm sorry but all he's doing is some drum rolls. That was nothing spectacular in the least. Any drummer can work at being fast, real talent comes into play when you can not only be fast but can juggle multiple time signatures at the same time and whatnot. For example, this guy:

Or check out Dafnis Prieto (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewProfile&friendID=165495740).

Drumming isn't about how fast you can play a snare.

I know LP isnt the best but I like his style of playing alot more then most drummers thses days. I am not one of those kiss ass Travis Barker fans who dont think any other drummers are good compared to him (hes really not that good in my opinion).
These are some of the best of the best:

QFT! Neil Peart is the drum god. Before him came Buddy Rich.

Terry Bozzio rocks. Though, I heard he worked with Korn, and they definitely blow. I'm referring to his work with Frank Zappa, that rocks.

But, for my money, Neil Peart is the king of all things drum.

Sorry, but...

< Danny Carey, great drummer and a musical genius. Drumming isn't just about speed, it's also about great technique and uniqueness.

Yea that LP guy is a great drummer, but drum solos don't impress me too much. Stevie Wonder's drumming does impress me, but only because he isn't known as a drummer. I'm also more impressed by a groove then technical drumming with sick speed. I like funk a lot which is part of the reason I feel that way.

Hell, even a semi-simple beat like this impresses me, but mainly because of his idea. The song is Machine Gun and he was doing rolls to sound like a machine gun.

But yea....

I'm not going to deny the sick skills of all the drummer videos that have been posted. Don't hate, congratulate.
