As it is now: DF may be bad.
As it was then: AoC was gonna suck for sure. The videos were shit, the promised features were mediocre at best in their inplementation and they didn't even put all of them in.

I"m pretty sure DF has been pushed back just as much of less than WAR and AoC were. And from the looks of it, AoC could have used a few more pushbacks. Thank god WAR had the common sense to delay the game instead of released an unfinished piece of shit.

Hehe, I don't see why we as Forumfallers are considered a separate community than the AoC community. Is it not possible to be both, if one has tried AoC while waiting for DF? I mean I don't want to throw the baby out with the bathwater so to speak. I don't want to completely shut out any other MMO just because it isn't Darkfall.

I see it as I should at least give every competitive MMO released a chance. I don't lock myself into the game, but I do at least give it a chance, I mean hey, if I like it then it can hold me over to DF.

That's the way it was with AoC when I bought it, despite many of the Forumfallers comments and hate posts (DF Fanboi possibly?), I decided I should at least try it out. It was fun for the first 10 levels, then I saw the true game and how it would be, and it wasn't for me. I know it was just the beginning and all things can get better with time, especially newly released MMOs, as they usually do. But I got the gist of AoC and decided I did not like where it was headed, so I quit.

This is the same way we are with WAR it seems. "Its not DF, LETS HATE IT." But I mean just trying it can't hurt anything. Unless you happen to actually like it and get hooked... But then isn't that the aim? To find a game we love and get hooked on playing? $50 bucks is nothing considering thats less than alot of people make in a day with decent jobs. So what are you really out.

Give each game it's chance. Don't lump them all together as 'DF -> Good' 'All Other MMOs -> COMPLETELY ASS TRASH HORRIBLE' I mean, sure I don't have the incentive to play WoW (ZOMG WOW REFERENCE) anymore, but its still a decent game in its own right and many people love it.

No basics features of darkfall guarantee failure.

I agree with the post you quoted. In fact, I knew from the get-go AoC would be shit. How did I know? Easy, I played Anarchy Online from Day 1 and saw how Funcom blatantly lies to their customers. Funcom showed me multiple times that insta-cash meant more to them than a quality product.

Woa than I really envy you. I love reading, learning and experiencing new stuff, but I'm usually so lazy and currently so addicted to wasting hours and hours acquiring worthless sub culture on the interwebz that I hardly do any of that.
