So its official! call of duty 5 is going back to world war 2 and back to the pacific. I cant belive they've done this after CoD4 was such a massive hit and the amount of people who have rightly stated that World war 2 is over done (especialy the pacific). Do these people have no imagination? Anyone else pissed off about this?

Yea, World War II is overdone, but it's Call of Duty. They've never failed, whether it be past or present warfare. Looking forward to it.

I was actualy thinking a crimean era war could be interesting. Maybe not though. I just wish it was something more origional then the pacific in WWII

Thats one of my dreams, too. Planetside was too sci-fi, and Battlefield Europe has horrid graphics. I want a well-made Battlefield-type MMOFPS with land control and shit. /sigh

Also some devs are making a Tom Clancy MMO, so we might just get our wish.

As long as COD5 feels as polished as COD4,I'll accept them going back to their roots...I'd have preferred them to stay with the modern warfare theme though.

Same, Although i guess Ill try it out. I liked MW becuase it was actually different than the original WW2 shit....but They'll know that we'll most probably buy it just the same.

It's because CoD4 was made by a different studio. CoD5 will be made by the same studio that did CoD3.. Which means it'll suck.

It sounds ok but i just wish they had chosen a much more origional theme then the shit MoH done to death about a decade ago...
