For those of you who are unaware Cybernations in a browswer based nation building game with a complex system of economics and a strong focus on war and diplomacy. Having survived a number of large wars the Darkfall Alliance has entered a time of peaceful prosperity allowing our nations, banks,and nuclear arsenals to grow. With this prosperity we are able to provide a great deal of financial assistance to any Darkfall who wishes to join our ranks.

I'm going to take this rare oppurtunity to show off my veteranship. I remember when the DF alliance first started out, I was in it with my new nation back when it was puny. I played it for ages but then I got involved in a series of wars which spiralled out of control until my country which was getting quite powerful was completely ruined.

Really? I've played two browser-based games (World War, or something close to that name, and O-Game) and both kind of required you to check in like 10 - 15 times a day to make sure you weren't getting attacked, were building new units, etc.

You get to become part of a team and learn skills that can really help you in today's business world. You get to state your opinion, which in many cases will effect the decisions made by the alliance leaders. There is tons of other things that goes into playing this game. If you let the daily maintanence you do on your country be the only part of the game you participate, then no you won't find this game alot of fun. If you participate in all parts of the game, you will find the game most rewarding.

I was in a position of power, but for me to get things rolling I would have to coup you and do every single thing myself. I'm not here to troll you or start any trouble, but I can tell you that life outside of DF is quite different from life inside DF. I'll leave it at that.

The location is meaningless and can be changed at will.

I've been playing for a couple months now and huge alliances with hundreds of players who've all been playing and building up for years (IRL time) pretty much dominate the game. You get all the benefits of being huge with few logistical drawbacks so it's next to impossible to even remotely catch up as a new player.

However, they're rolling out with a new "tournament" mode that resets regularly and should be a lot more interesting to play once they open it up to everyone, so I'd recommend getting into the normal game anyways just to learn how things work if you're interested.

And its not that hard for new players to catch up. Just get lots of AIDS and boosts, learn what you should purchase and when, then bam you are right in the game.

make your team black, and when asked for alliance put in Darkfall.

At first just make sure you do enough to get rid of any red sentences at the top. Once thats done put monies into infrastructor. Go to our alliances boards and request aids, you will get mad free loots for a nice boost.

It's not on the list as it isn't big enough. You have to type it in. Everyone gets flooded with invitation messages at start. It stops once you join one. It's not when you registered, you can change it later. It's under edit nation I think.

yea, there's a war with around 10k people involved and they all try to fight near server turnover (12 AM CST). it gets pretty crazy and they turn off a lot of extras.

this is a slow paced turn based type of game... lol

it starts a bit slow, but there's plenty to fill your time with. nation maintenance doesn't take but around 2 minutes. however, if you are involved in the alliance, there's plenty to do.

I disagree, when I look for tech raiding targets I look for who has the most tech and available war slots :)
