Mr Justice Mitting of the Special Immigration Appeals Commission (SIAC) granted Abu Qatada bail on Tuesday with strict conditions.
He must wear an electronic tag and must not attend a mosque or lead prayers or religious instruction.
Abu Qatada must also stay in his west London home for at least 22 hours a day, and cannot attend any kind of meeting. He is also forbidden from using mobile phones, computers or the internet.
Police have special permission to enter and search his home while Abu Qatada is banned from having guests other than family and solicitors.
Among the people he is banned from meeting in London is al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.
Others include bin Laden's deputy Ayman al-Zawahiri and Rachid Ramda, who has been convicted in France of masterminding a series of bombings in 1995.
Also named is hate preacher Abu Hamza.
If you are released on bail, why make the terms worse than if you were in prison ?
What kind of commie-nazi society have we turned into ?

obviously a rat trap
and its more of a hippi - everybody hold hands and sing society than a nazi one. 'you can go free so long as you play nice and share'
the nazis would have just shot him
If they got good reasons I can see why they are soo strict... but then I don't get the point of letting him be released on bail in the first place.

It's all a trap. They dangle him out in the real world in the hopes that Osama will come visit. They only told him Osama can't come because they know if you tell a religious extremeist not to do something, he's definately going to do it.
A crafty plan.
But surely you would miss out on all the surprise butt secks ?

He is welcome to stay in jail for all I care. The only travesty is that someone like that isn't just shot to begin with.

Oh I see, kill people first, then decide if they are innocent/guilty of something afterwards.
Got it.
Listening to anything that Jangang got say and then trying to get some sence out of it is like trying to listen for porno movie sounds through a toilet when flushing.

My positions make perfect sense when you drop the whole idea that things have to be fair.
To make it simple for you, Islam says I must die... (Being atheist) Thus, they are my enemy... Especially those who prescribe to the militant brand of Islam. And most especially those associated in any way, shape, or form with the likes of Bin'Laden.
Beyond that my views on war are also very simple. Until such time as we decide to not be Empire, we should destroy any, and all who oppose us, and replace their governments with friendly ones. Ignoring those who pose no threat to us, or our allies until such time as they do, at which point they can likewise be destroyed.
I furthermore do not subscribe to the weakness that many have, which causes them to look at casualties of war as people, rather then figures. To do so only makes it harder to be objective. Those who have this weakness are often sidetracked by collateral damage, and more to the point media coverage of said wars. We live in a world where information travels fast, and because of this many of these people believe that war is somehow less justified then it has been historically.
I see people crying about what 4,000 or maybe 5,000 deaths in Iraq in 5 years time and note that more people die of smoking cigarettes in this country alone every 4 or 5 days, then died serving in Iraq. Which makes me react with such statements as "cry more" when people whine about minuscule casualty rates.
That being said, I regret the loss of every soldier, but I do not disrespect those deaths by implying it wasn't worth it, or shouldn't have happened.
My only regret regarding the recent Wars themselves is that we have a Commander and Chief who doesn't know jack shit about what he's doing, and has phailed miserably at everything beyond the first 48 hours in Iraq.

That's stupid, he should be encouraged to meet Osama since they can track him with the electronic tag. Also, seems freedom of religion doesn't apply to heathens in GB, gogo religious proxy wars.

In reference to what this topic was created about:
No way, they make him live in his house and not be able to meet with his terrorist friends only for teaching others to kill as many Yuropeens and Uhmericans as they can? That is so harsh, what a Nazi government. Putting someone a guy who is teaching how to kill all of us into his house and keeping him there. What dirty fascists.

You didn't include nazi in your chart. Which I'd imagine would be the point of having made it. Though I suppose Fascist is in essence the same thing. Still when making a direct comparison it'd be wise to include the actual term used by the guy you quoted.

Not one American life is worth any good result in Iraq. It's not even worth the drastic decrease in gas prices even though I'm sure every American is really happy that we conquered a country with 30 Trillion in oil as a natural resource considering how dependent on petro we are.
Wait a sec!?
Okay, it definitely wasn't worth any American deaths to help the Iraqi people out. I wonder how many civilians died in the cross fire? I'm sure they are very thankful to be shot, blown up or starved to death by Americans rather then Iraqis.
Hey, Mexico could use some help too. Let's park 200,000 troops in Mexico city and start shooting people there too. I bet in a hundred to two hundred years there might not be anybody old enough left to remember what actually happened and we'll all live happily ever after.
I crack up when I see pictures of soldiers giving a desani water bottle to a kid. Sure, it's a really nice thing to do... does the fact the kid is dying of thirst have anything to do with the fact their country was just invaded and conquered, illegally I might add?
Was Saddam a bad dude, no doubt. In the worlds eyes, I doubt G.W. is looking much better. This will be one of those moments in history where the victors determine how our great grand children learn about it in the history books.
"... and in 2006, the brave American soldiers lead by their fearless leader George Bush fought what would have seemed like a hopeless battle, despite the fact that they were fighting against an army that was still using Cold War weapons they sustained heavy casualties. The Iraqi army was very determined to not let their country fall into the hands of the distant United States, but in the bravery of the U.S. soldiers overcame their 20+ year old war machines. Economically, the war put the U.S. into a boom, with the general populace being mostly happy with the outcome of the war. Gas prices were at an all time low, the housing market was peaking and there were even talks of changing the laws so that Bush could run for a third term..."
I am personally very pleased with the results of the Iraqi war. Sense I have really don't know why we were there at all, how could I be disappointed... we "won" right?
